Innocence Lost
Laura Kinney (born X-23; Pseudonym, codename Wolverine (character), Wolverine) is a fictional superhero appearing in media (communication), media published by Marvel Entertainment, most commonly in association with the X-Men. The character was created by writer Craig Kyle for the ''X-Men: Evolution'' television series in 2003, before debuting in the ''NYX (comics), NYX'' comic series in 2004. Since then she has headlined two six-issue miniseries written by Kyle and Christopher Yost, a one-shot and self-titled series written by Marjorie Liu, and ''All-New Wolverine'' by Tom Taylor (writer), Tom Taylor. Laura was apparently the cloning, clone and later adoptive daughter of Wolverine (character), Wolverine, created to be the perfect killing machine. For years, she proved herself a capable assassin working for an organization called the Facility. A series of tragedies eventually led her to Wolverine and the X-Men.
