A5-class Customs Vessels
The ''A5 class'' was a type of patrol/customs vessels of the Hellenic Navy, two of which were built at the Laurium, Lavrion Shipyards in 1930, based on Italian designs. They were armed with a 76 mm gun, a machine gun, as well as depth charges. Both were destroyed during WWII (1941), the first bombed by RAF after it had been seized by the Germans. References

G&SWR 5 Class
The G&SWR 5 Class were steam locomotives designed by Peter Drummond for the Glasgow and South Western Railway (G&SWR) and introduced in 1917. The class was originally designated 5 Class but, after the G&SWR's 1919 renumbering, this was changed to 322 Class. After passing to the London, Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS) in 1923 they were given power classification 2F. Design and Operation The 5 Class were built to replace elderly tender locomotives on a number of freight lines which featured sharp curves and steep gradients. Number 5 was allocated to Greenock (Princes Pier) shed for dock shunting, whereas the other two were allocated to Ardrossan shed for colliery branches in the Kilwinning and Dalry area. They remained at these sheds throughout their lives in Railway ownership. LMS Stanier Mogul
The London Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS) Stanier Class 5 2-6-0 or Stanier Mogul is a class of 2-6-0 mixed traffic steam locomotive. Forty were built between October 1933 and March 1934. Overview Although all built at Crewe Works, they were designed at Horwich Works and were developed from the Horwich Mogul, the LMS Hughes ''Crab'' 2-6-0. They had the addition of several features brought over from the Great Western Railway by newly arrived Chief Mechanical Engineer William Stanier, most notably the taper boiler. (Stanier would have been familiar with the GWR 4300 Class). In an effort to please Stanier, Horwich had designed in a GWR style top-feed cover and locomotive 13245 appeared with the feature fitted. LMS Stanier Class 5 4-6-0 4932
LMS Stanier Class 5MT 4932, is a preserved British steam locomotive. It is one of 18 surviving members of the Black 5 class which had 842 members constructed by five manufacturers. 44932 is the sole remaining member of the class which was built at the LMS's Horwich Works. Overview 4932 was built in 1945 by the LMS at their Horwich Works – works no. 154. It was renumbered as 44932 by British Railways after the 1948 nationalisation of Britain's railways. After completion at Horwich Works it was allocated to Blackpool Central's 24E Shed where it remained for nearly six years until January 1952 when it was transferred to Accrington near Blackburn. Further shed transfers were to follow throughout its career with British Railways including Agecroft - Greater Manchester, Leicester, Annesley and Derby. LMS Stanier Class 5 4-6-0
The London, Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS) Stanier Class 5 4-6-0, commonly known as the Black Five, is a class of steam locomotives. It was introduced by William Stanier and built between 1934 and 1951, of which 842 were built and were numbered 4658-5499 (BR then renumbered 44658-45499). Several members of the class survived to the last day of steam on British Railways in 1968, and eighteen are preserved. Origins The Black Five was a mixed-traffic locomotive, a "do-anything go-anywhere" type, designed by Stanier, who had previously been with the GWR. In his early LMS days, he designed his Stanier Mogul in which he experimented with the GWR school of thought on locomotive design. LB&SCR E5 Class
The London, Brighton and South Coast Railway E5 class was a class of 0-6-2T side tank steam locomotive designed by Robert Billinton. They were introduced in 1902 and were a larger version of the E4 Class intended for semi-fast secondary passenger work. History As the weight of passenger trains continued to grow steadily during the 1890s and 1900s Robert Billinton decided to enlarge his radial tank classes still further by introducing a wheeled version incorporating the C2 class boiler. Thirty E5 locomotives were built by Brighton Works between November 1902 and November 1904. In addition to more power and a higher top speed, they also had more fuel capacity than the E4 class. L&YR Class 5
The Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Class5 were 2-4-2T steam locomotives designed by Chief Mechanical Engineer (CME) John Aspinall and introduced from 1889 for local passenger work. Later batches included progressive modifications such as extended coal bunkers and belpaire fireboxes. The final batch built from 1911 to 1914 under George Hughes incorporating superheated boilers and belpaire firebox gave increased tractive effort, others were also rebuilt to this standard. When Hughes introduced his classification system in 1919, the more powerful superheated locomotives were designated Class6. The final examples were withdrawn in 1961. KUR EC5 Class
The KUR EC5 class was a class of gauge Garratt-type articulated locomotive, articulated steam locomotives built during the latter stages of World War II by Beyer, Peacock & Co. in Gorton, Manchester, England, for the War Department (United Kingdom), War Department of the United Kingdom. The two members of the class entered service on the Kenya-Uganda Railway (KUR) in 1945. They were part of a batch of 20 locomotives, the rest of which were sent to either India or Burma. The following year, 1946, four locomotives from that batch were acquired by the Tanganyika Railway (TR) from Burma. They entered service on the TR as the TR GB class. The Indian locomotive class WDG-5 (EMD GT50AC) is a class of heavy haul Diesel-electric locomotive built by Banaras Locomotive Works, Varanasi in collaboration with Electro-Motive Diesel. At a rated power output of , it is the second most powerful diesel locomotive class on Indian Railways, just out-powered by the WDG-6G. Derived from the EMD SD80MAC, it was meant as a direct upgrade to the WDG-4 GT46MAC (SD70MAC derivative). The locomotive series is named Bheem, after the strong Pandav brother from epic Mahabharata. The loco has an EMD 20N-710G3B-EC 20 cylinder engine of the EMD SD80MAC and an AC-AC transmission.
