''Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked'' is a 2011 American live action/computer animated jukebox musical adventure comedy film directed by Mike Mitchell. It is the third film starring Alvin and the Chipmunks following the 2009 film '' The Squeakquel'', and the first. The film's main cast includes: Jason Lee, David Cross and Jenny Slate. Justin Long, Matthew Gray Gubler, Jesse McCartney, Amy Poehler, Anna Faris, and Christina Applegate return as the Chipmunks and Chipettes, respectively. Mike Mitchell (director)
Mike Mitchell (born October 18, 1970) is an American film director, writer, producer, actor and animator. He directed the films '' Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo'', ''Surviving Christmas'', '' Sky High'', ''Shrek Forever After'', '' Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked'', ''Trolls'' and '' The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part''. Mark Allen Mothersbaugh (; born May 18, 1950) is an American composer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist. He came to prominence in the late 1970s as co-founder, lead singer and keyboardist of the new wave band Devo, whose " Whip It" was a top 20 single in the US in 1980, peaking at No. 14, and which has since maintained a cult following.
