Alive 2
''Alive 2 (2005)'' is the third full-length live album and second full-length live DVD from the band Anthrax. It features the reunion of their lineup from the ''Among the Living'' era, including then-former vocalist Joey Belladonna and former guitarist Dan Spitz. The songs included on the disc are taken from '' Fistful of Metal'', their first release, until '' Persistence of Time'' (1990), spanning numerous personnel changes. Unlike the band's previous live release, '' Music of Mass Destruction'', the CD and DVD versions of Alive 2 are sold also separately or in "The Special Edition": in which the CD is referred to as ''Alive 2: The CD'' and the DVD is referred to as ''Alive 2: The DVD''. This album would be the last non-compilation release featuring Dan Spitz, who left the band following the end of Anthrax's reunion tour. Anthrax (American Band)
Anthrax is an American heavy metal band from New York City, formed in 1981 by rhythm guitarist Scott Ian and bassist Dan Lilker. The group is considered one of the leaders of the thrash metal scene from the 1980s and is part of the "Big Four" of the genre, along with Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer. They were also one of the first thrash metal bands (along with Overkill and Nuclear Assault) to emerge from the East Coast. The band has released 11 studio albums, several other albums, and 26 singles, including collaborating on a single with American hip hop group Public Enemy. According to Nielsen SoundScan, Anthrax sold 2.5 million records in the United States from 1991 to 2004, with worldwide sales of 10 million. "Indians" is a song by American thrash metal band Anthrax, from the band's third studio album, ''Among the Living'' (1987). It has since then remained one of the band's signature songs, appearing on their best-of albums: ''Return of the Killer A's'', '' Madhouse: The Very Best of Anthrax'' and '' Anthrology: No Hit Wonders (1985–1991)''. Anthrax is an infection caused by the bacterium ''Bacillus anthracis''. It can occur in four forms: skin, lungs, intestinal, and injection. Symptom onset occurs between one day and more than two months after the infection is contracted. The skin form presents with a small blister with surrounding swelling that often turns into a painless ulcer with a black center. The inhalation form presents with fever, chest pain and shortness of breath. The intestinal form presents with diarrhea (which may contain blood), abdominal pains, nausea and vomiting. Charlie Benante
Charles Lee Benante (born November 27, 1962) is an American musician best known as the drummer for thrash metal band Anthrax, and crossover thrash band Stormtroopers of Death. Alongside rhythm guitarist and band leader Scott Ian, Benante has composed the majority of the music throughout Anthrax's discography. He joined the reunited Pantera in 2022, filling-in for original drummer Vinnie Paul. Career Benante joined Anthrax in 1983, prior to the recording of the band's debut album ''Fistful of Metal'', and has been the band's drummer ever since. He is known for having a very fast double kick technique and has been credited as one of the pioneers of double-bass, as well as with popularizing the blast beat technique with thrash metal. Frank Bello
Frank Bello (born July 9, 1965) is an American musician who plays bass for the thrash metal band Anthrax. Early life Bello is the nephew of Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante. He had a younger brother Anthony, who was murdered in the Bronx, New York City, in 1996. His murder was never solved. Bello has a tattoo on his right upper arm with a design of Anthony's face, with the words 'In Memory of Anthony' below it. Career Bello was originally a roadie and guitar technician for Anthrax, but later replaced Dan Lilker soon after the release of the band's 1984 debut album ''Fistful of Metal'', and has held this position ever since, excluding a brief departure in 2004 in order to join Helmet – another New York City-based metal band. Scott Ian (born Scott Ian Rosenfeld, December 31, 1963) is an American musician, best known as the rhythm guitarist and co-founder of the thrash metal band Anthrax. Ian is the guitarist and a founding member of the crossover thrash band Stormtroopers of Death for which he is also the lyricist. Background "Madhouse" was released as the only single and third track from the group's second full album, ''Spreading the Disease''. "Antisocial" is a song by the French hard rock band Trust, from their album ''Répression''. The song was written by Bernie Bonvoisin and Norbert Krief. Unusually for a hard rock track, it was played on mainstream radio stations RTL and France Inter, helping the album sell over 800,000 copies in 1980.
