Zoe Bruce
Zoe Anne Bruce (born 15 October 1975) is a British sport shooter, World Championship medallist and former British record holder. In May 2017, Bruce won the Women's 50m prone rifle at the International Shooting Competition of Hannover, setting a new British and English Record of 624.3. The British record was broken less than a month later by the Scot Seonaid McIntosh, but Bruce retains the English record. In July 2018, she was selected as a member of the Great Britain team to the 2018 ISSF World Shooting Championships The 52nd ISSF World Shooting Championships were held in Changwon, South Korea from 2 to 14 September 2018. For "Meter" in this article – read "Metre") is an International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) shooting event, shot at a bullseye target over a distance of using a calibre air rifle with a maximum weight of . It is one of the ISSF-governed shooting sports included in the Summer Olympics since the 1984 Los Angeles Games. 50 Metre Rifle Three Positions
50 meter rifle three positions (formerly known as one of four free rifle disciplines) is an International Shooting Sport Federation event, a miniature version of 300 meter rifle three positions. It consists of the kneeling, prone, and standing positions, fired in that order, traditionally with 3×40 shots for men and 3×20 shots for women. In January 2018, the number of shots was equalised between genders with the Women's 3x20 being abolished in favour of a 3x40 match identical to the men's event. The caliber is .22 Long Rifle (5.6 mm). In both the men's and women's event, athletes must complete the course of fire within a single time block of 2 hours, 45 minutes. The time limit is 75 minutes for the entire match, including sighting shots, or 90 minutes if there is a need to compensate for slow scoring systems. ISSF World Shooting Championships
The ISSF World Shooting Championships are governed by the International Shooting Sport Federation. World Shooting Championships began in 1897, after the successful 1896 Summer Olympics, and although the ISSF was not founded until 1907, these early competitions are still seen by the organization as the beginning of a continuous row of championships. By this logic, the 2006 competition in Zagreb was called the 49th ISSF World Shooting Championships. These championships, including all ISSF shooting events, are held every four years since 1954. For the shotgun events only, there is an additional World Championship competition in odd-numbered years. These extra competitions are not numbered. Seonaid McIntosh
Seonaid McIntosh (born 15 March 1996) is a British sports shooter who became the World Champion at the 2018 ISSF World Shooting Championships in the 50m Prone Rifle event. In 2019 she became Britain's most successful female rifle shooter of all time, winning three World Cup medals (including the first World Cup Gold to be won by a British Woman). She also became the first British Woman to rank World #1 for the 50m Rifle Three Position event and became European Champion in the 300m Rifle Prone event with an equal World Record score. McIntosh is the daughter of four-times Commonwealth Games medallist Shirley McIntosh and sport shooter Donald McIntosh. She is the younger sister of British Olympian Jennifer McIntosh. Jennifer McIntosh (born 17 June 1991) is a Scottish Olympic sports shooter and fantasy author. McIntosh is the daughter of four-times Commonwealth Games medalist Shirley McIntosh and Donald McIntosh, and the elder sister of British Olympic shooter Seonaid McIntosh.
