Zlatan ( sr-Cyrl, Златан) is a male given name of Slavic origin meaning ''Golden''. The name is common amongst all South Slavic countries, namely in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, North Macedonia and Serbia. Bosnian Language
Bosnian (; / , ) is the standardized variety of the Serbo-Croatian pluricentric language mainly used by ethnic Bosniaks. Bosnian is one of three such varieties considered official languages of Bosnia and Herzegovina, along with Croatian and Serbian. It is also an officially recognized minority language in Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Kosovo. Bosnian uses both the Latin and Cyrillic alphabets, with Latin in everyday use. It is notable among the varieties of Serbo-Croatian for a number of Arabic, Persian and Turkish loanwords, largely due to the language's interaction with those cultures through Islamic ties. Croats
The Croats (; hr, Hrvati ) are a South Slavic ethnic group who share a common Croatian ancestry, culture, history and language. They are also a recognized minority in a number of neighboring countries, namely Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia. Zlatan Saračević (born 27 July 1956) is a retired Bosnian shot putter who represented SFR Yugoslavia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Biography He was born in Zenica, SR Bosnia and Herzegovina. but represented the clubs AK Sloboda Tuzla, AK Slavonija Osijek, AK Mladost Zagreb, AK Crvena Zvezda and AK Zmaj od Bosne Tuzla. Zlatan Muslimović (; born 6 March 1981) is a Bosnian former professional footballer who played as a forward. Early career As a teenager, Muslimović played for the Swedish teams Habo IF and Husqvarna FF. He went on to play for the Swedish team IFK Göteborg youth team in 1998 and 1999, before coming to Italy in 2000. Zlatan Krizanović (born 17 May 1991) is a Swedish footballer who plays as a striker for Torslanda IK. He is also a coach, having spent time working with Torslanda and the Olé Football Academy in New Zealand. Slatan Theodor Dudow ( bg, Златан Дудов, Zlatan Dudov) (30 January 1903 - 12 July 1963) was a Bulgarian born film director and screenwriter who made a number of films during the Weimar Republic and in East Germany. Biography Dudow was born in Zaribrod, Bulgaria (today Dimitrovgrad, Serbia). In 1922, he emigrated to Berlin with the intention of becoming an architect. He gave up this plan and began studying theatre in 1923, first under Emmanuel Reicher, and then, from 1925 to 1926, as a theatre studies student under Max Herrmann at the university. He worked with Leopold Jessner and Jürgen Fehling, served as a chorus member under Erwin Piscator, and was a director's assistant to Fritz Lang on the production of ''Metropolis''. Dr. Zlatan Čolaković (February 13, 1955 – 2008) was a Bosnian Homerist, philologist and researcher. He graduated with a degree in Comparative Literature and Philosophy (1979), finished his Masters (1982) and completed his Doctorate in 1984 at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Philosophy. From 1984-1988, as a Fulbright scholar, he worked with Albert Lord at Harvard University in Milman Parry Collection, the Slavic division of the Widener Library. He lectured at Harvard University and at Waterloo University in Ontario, Canada. At Harvard, he worked on the Milman Parry Collection where he transcribed and edited texts and audio tapes of over 90,000 verses of Bosnian epic songs. Zlatan Bajramović (; born 12 August 1979) is a Bosnian retired professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder.
