Ziv Cojocaru
Ziv "Kojo" Cojocaru ( he, זיו "קוג'ו" קוז'וקרו; born 1977 in Beer-Sheva, Israel) is an Israeli composer, conductor and arranger who serves as Head of Composition, Conducting and Music Theory Department at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance and as Conductor in Residence of the Israel Sinfonietta Orchestra. Biography Cojocaru received his master's degree in Composition with honors at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance studying with Zvi Avni and Haim Permont. He also received his master's degree in Orchestral Conducting with honors at the Academy, studying with Yevgeny Zirlin. Cojocaru completed his doctorate in composition (Ph.D) at Bar-Ilan University. Israel Music Institute
The Israel Music Institute (IMI) is the first publicly owned music publishing house in Israel. It is devoted primarily to the publication of Israeli art music, but also publishes books and booklets on Israeli music and composers, CDs of Israeli art music, and a periodical, IMI News. It is a non-profit organization supported by the Israel Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport. The Institute was established in 1961 by the Israel Council for Culture and Arts for the purpose of publishing and promoting serious Israeli music by all means possible. Maurice El Mediouni
Maurice El Mediouni, French El Médioni ( ar, مــوريــس الــمــديــونــي, born on 18 October 1928 in Oran, Algeria) is an Algerian-Jewish pianist, composer and interpreter of Andalusian, rai, Sephardic and Arab music. He is one of the few living artists to have performed with artists such as Lili Labassi, Line Monty, Lili Boniche, Samy el Maghribi, and Reinette l’Oranaise. He is also a professional tailor and took up initially music as a hobby. Born in the Jewish quarter of Oran, in a family of musicians. Harel Skaat ( he, הראל סקעת, born 8 August 1981) sometimes known by the mononym Harel is an Israeli singer and songwriter. He represented Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song " Milim" ("מילים", "Words"). Skaat has been singing and performing in public since he was a child. David D'Or ( he, דוד ד'אור; born David Nehaisi on October 2, 1965) is an Israeli singer, composer, and songwriter. Izhar Ashdot ( he, יזהר אשדות; born 23 November 1958) is an Israeli singer-songwriter, guitarist, and record producer. He is a co-founding member of the Israeli rock band T-Slam. Early life When he was eleven, Ashdot started to play the guitar, two years later he founded his first group, "The Red Dogs". Biography Rivka Menashe (later Riki Gal) was born in 1950 to an Orthodox family in the poor neighborhood of Mea Shearim in Jerusalem. Shlomo Gronich (born January 20, 1949; he, שלמה גרוניך) is an Israeli composer, singer, songwriter, arranger, and choir conductor. Biography Shlomo Gronich grew up in a musical family in Hadera.
