Zinny J. Zan (born Bo Stagman on January 18, 1964 and earlier known as Bosse Belsen) is a Swedish rock/ glam metal singer who is the former lead-singer for Shotgun Messiah and is currently the founder and frontman for Zan Clan and reunited Easy Action. Musical career Zinny J. Zan is probably best known internationally as the original lead singer for the 1980s glam metal band Shotgun Messiah (1985–90). However, he was already well known in his native Sweden by the time he was 18, when his band Easy Action (1981–85) toured Scandinavia and soon thereafter signed a contract with Warner Bros. Records. Easy Action was the first Swedish music artist ever to sign a worldwide deal. His music career started earlier when he played drums in band such as Belsen Boys, Alarm X and Beauty Box. Relativity Records was an American record label founded by Barry Kobrin at the site of his company, Important Record Distributors (IRD) in metro New York. Relativity released music that covers a wide variety of musical genres. When it entered into a deal with Sony Music Entertainment, it became more known for its heavy metal and hip hop releases. ''Welcome to Bop City'' is the first album from Swedish glam metal / hard rock band Shotgun Messiah, Kingpin, released in 1988 on the CMM (Club Mariann Music) label in Sweden and in 1989 on the Music For Nations label in the UK. The album was later remixed and released in 1989 under the band's new name Shotgun Messiah on Relativity Records in the US, charting respectably at #99 on Billboard (magazine), Billboard and selling close to half a million copies. It is the band's only album with Easy Action / Zan Clan singer Zinny J. Zan on vocals, who joined after hearing the band's early demos. Shotgun Messiah was a Swedish glam metal band originally from Skövde formed by guitarist Harry Cody, bassist Tim Skold, and drummer Stixx Galore. Cody and Skold were the mainstays of the band, and along with various personnel released three albums—''Shotgun Messiah'', ''Second Coming'' and ''Violent New Breed.'' Shotgun Messiah disbanded in 1993. Harry Cody (musician)
Harry Cody is a Swedish songwriter, composer, and guitarist. He was a founding member of the glam metal and industrial band Shotgun Messiah, before joining Coma and founding Das Cabal. He has recorded with Tom Waits, among others. Cody has composed scores for film and television commercials. Early life Cody was born in Surahammar and moved to Skövde at age seven. He grew up influenced by a variety of rock and roll guitar players such as Chuck Berry, Scotty Moore (Elvis Presley), and Eddie Van Halen, among others. After finishing school, Cody worked for Volvo, and also served in the Swedish army. He quit his job to focus on music. Career In 1983, Cody met Tim Skold, a bassist in Skövde, and they began playing together. Two years later, going by the name Harry K.
