Screaming Masterpiece
''Screaming Masterpiece'' (''Gargandi snilld'' in Icelandic) is a 2005 documentary film directed and written by Ari Alexander Ergis Magnússon about the music scene in Iceland. It attempts to explore the reasons why Iceland has such a rich variety of musical talent. The film itself shows mostly live performances and interviews by some of Iceland's biggest musicians, including Björk, Sigur Rós, Slowblow, múm, Ghostigital, Quarashi, Singapore Sling amongst others, over the backdrop of Icelandic scenery. Sólveig Anspach
Sólveig Anspach (8 December 1960 – 7 August 2015) was an Icelandic-French film director and screenwriter. Born to a German-Romanian father Gerhard Anspach and an Icelandic mother Högna Sigurðardóttir, she spent most of her life living and working in France. After studying philosophy and clinical psychology in Paris, she enrolled in La Fémis and graduated with a diploma in directing in 1989. Friðrik Þór Friðriksson (born 12 May 1954; pronounced ), sometimes credited as Fridrik Thor Fridriksson, is an Icelandic film director and producer. Biography Fridriksson started his film making career with experimental films and documentaries in the early 1980s. In 1987, he founded The Icelandic Film Corporation that became Iceland's most important film production company. The company produces his films and works with other Icelandic directors as well as producers. Dagur Kári (born Dagur Kári Pétursson; 12 December 1973) is an Icelandic film director. Early life and education He was born in Paris, France, to Icelandic parents. The family returned to Iceland when he was 3 years old. After attending local schools as a child, Kári went to Denmark for college. Glass Eye Pix is an American independent film studio based in New York City, New York known primarily for producing horror films. History Film director Larry Fessenden founded Glass Eye Pix on November 2, 1986 in order to copyright his own films, including ''Habit, Wendigo'' and ''The Last Winter''.
