Glass Eye Pix
Glass Eye Pix is an American independent film studio based in New York City, New York known primarily for producing horror films. History Film director Larry Fessenden founded Glass Eye Pix on November 2, 1986 in order to copyright his own films, including ''Habit, Wendigo'' and ''The Last Winter''. The name came from a glass eye one of his friends gave to him as a gift, combined with the old lingo from the trade magazine Variety which called movies "pix". The company eventually grew to encompass others' works as Fessenden began to mentor younger filmmakers. Glass Eye Pix's low-budget horror banner, Scareflix, was designed to create lean budgeted, auteur-driven films from new directors. Larry Fessenden
Laurence T. Fessenden (born March 23, 1963) is an American actor, producer, writer, director, film editor, and cinematographer. He is the founder of the New York based independent production outfit Glass Eye Pix. His writer/director credits include No Telling' (written with Beck Underwood, 1991), ''Habit'' (1997), ''Wendigo'' (2001), and '' The Last Winter'' (written with Robert Leaver, 2006), which is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art. He has also directed the television feature '' Beneath'' (2013), an episode of the NBC TV series '' Fear Itself'' (2008) entitled " Skin and Bones", and a segment of the anthology horror-comedy film '' The ABCs of Death 2'' (2014). ''I Can See You'' is a 2008 American psychological horror film written and directed by Graham Reznick. Ben Dickinson, Christopher Ford, and Duncan Skiles star as advertising workers who go on a camping trip to find inspiration for their latest campaign, only to find their sanity tested in the woods. Plot In an infomercial, Mickey Hauser, a spokesperson for Clara Clean Corporation, advertises Claractix, a cleaning product. Ben Richards attempts to finish a portrait of a man in a suit, but he can not visualize the face, which remains blank. After several attempts, he gives up and shaves off his beard. When he meets with his coworkers, radio and newspaper reports reveal that Hauser has died and that Clara Clean Corporation has become involved in an ecological scandal.
