Zhu Liangcai (; 27 September 1900 – 22 February 1989) was a general in the Chinese People's Liberation Army The People's Liberation Army (PLA) is the principal military force of the People's Republic of China and the armed wing of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The PLA consists of five service branches: the Ground Force, Navy, Air Force, .... Zhu was in Waisha Village, Rucheng County, Hunan Province. He joined the Chinese Communist Party in October 1927. From 1955-1958, he was the political commissar of Beijing Military Region. He was made a general in 1955. He was awarded first-class Eight-One medal, first-class Independence Freedom medal and first-class Liberation medal. In July 1988, he was awarded first-class Red Star Honorary Medal. He died on 22 February 1989 in Beijing, at the age of 89. The People's Liberation Army (PLA) is the principal military force of the People's Republic of China and the armed wing of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Beijing Military Region
The Beijing Military Region was one of seven military regions for the Chinese People's Liberation Army. From the mid 1980s to 2017, it had administration of all military affairs within Beijing city, Tianjin city, Hebei province, Shanxi province, and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The Region is mainly responsible for defending the People's Republic of China from Mongolia and Russia, and also protects the capital of China, and had the largest number of military personnel of any of the seven regions active from 1985-2017.
