Zhongxiao Dunhua (, formerly transliterated as Chunghsiao Tunhua Station until 2003) is a metro station in Taipei, Taiwan served by Taipei Metro. Station overview The three-level, underground station with an island platform and eight exits. It is located around the intersection of Zhongxiao East Rd. and Dunhua South Rd (hence the name of the station). It connects through the East Metro Mall to the neighboring Zhongxiao Fuxing station. History *24 December 1999: Begins service with the opening of the Taipei City Hall to Longshan Temple segment. *3 May 2009: A 62-year-old woman jumped off platform 2 and was immediately killed. Taipei Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), branded as Metro Taipei, is a rapid transit system serving the areas of Taipei and New Taipei City, New Taipei in Taiwan, operated by the State-owned enterprise, government-owned Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation, which also operates the Maokong Gondola. Lee Shih-chiao
Lee Shih-chiao (; 13 July 1908 – 7 July 1995) was a Taiwanese painter. His art education and career began when Taiwan was under Japanese rule. Most of his paintings were realistic, but he also created some cubist works in his mid-life. He contributed significantly to art in Taiwan, as an artist and educator. The Lee Shih-chiao Museum of Art was established in 1992, three years before his death. Early life Lee Shih-chiao was a Taiwanese oil painter born in Shinshō (the present-day Xinzhuang Township, Taipei County) on 13 July 1908. Lee was the third of seven children born to his parents, who were farmers. Education In 1923, he entered Taipei Normal School (台北師範學校), and began to receive formal art education under Ishikawa Kinichiro. Lee was also a student of Yoshimura Yoshimatsu. Far Eastern Hospital () is a metro station in Taipei, Taiwan served by Taipei Metro. Station layout The two-level underground station makes use of island platforms and has three exits. The station is 243 meters long and 20.5 meters wide. Blue line trains from Kunyang or Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center terminate here during non-rush hours. Design The entrance to the station was designed as an arch bridge (from "qiao" in Banqiao, meaning "bridge"). It is also meant to represent a "cloud wall", a characteristic of traditional Chinese gardening; the station is located next to Yuanzhi Memorial Garden. Dingpu Metro Station
Dingpu station is a subway station of Taipei Metro. This station is a 2 km extension to and the western terminus of the Bannan line. Dingpu station is located in Tucheng District, New Taipei City. Construction began in January 2010 and commercial service was scheduled to begin in 2013. Commercial service was scheduled to begin in 2014, but was pushed back to 6 July 2015.
