Zhao Dong
Zhao Dong (; born July 1970) is a Chinese executive and politician of Manchu, currently serving as general manager of the China Petrochemical Corporation. He is an alternate member of the 20th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party. Biography Zhao was born in July 1970. He was deputy chief accountant of CNPC International (Nile) Co., Ltd. in May 1998 and subsequently chief accountant in July 2002. In January 2005, he became deputy chief accountant of China Petroleum Exploration and Development Company, rising to chief accountant in June 2008. He served as deputy general manager of the PetroChina Nile Company in September 2012, and eleven months later promoted to the general managerposition. Zhao (surname)
Zhao (; ) is a Chinese-language surname, means “walk quickly” and “jump” in ancient Chinese, and is the 1st surname in the famous Hundred Family Surnames – the traditional list of all Chinese surnames – because it was the emperor's surname of the Song Dynasty (960–1279) when the list was compiled. The first line of the poem is in the line 趙錢孫李 (Zhao, Qian, Sun, Li). Zhao is now ranking as the 7th most common surname in China and carried mainly by people of Mandarin-speaking regions. Zhao may be romanized as "Chiu" from the Cantonese pronunciation, and is romanized in Taiwan and Hong Kong as " Chao" as in the Wade–Giles system. Manchu People
The Manchus (; ) are a Tungusic East Asian ethnic group native to Manchuria in Northeast Asia. They are an officially recognized ethnic minority in China and the people from whom Manchuria derives its name. The 20th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was elected by the 20th National Congress in October 2022, and will sit until the next National Congress is convened in 2027. It formally succeeded the 19th Central Committee. The committee is composed of full members and alternate members. A full member has voting rights, while an alternate does not.
