Zerocalcare
Michele Rech (; born 12 December 1983), known as Zerocalcare (), is an Italian cartoonist. His pen name, literally meaning "zero limescale", was inspired by an Italian TV commercial jingle for a descaler product because he had to choose a nickname to quickly join a discussion on the Internet. Biography Early life Rech was born in Cortona, Italy, to an Italian father from Rome and a French mother. He was raised in France, then later Rome (Rebibbia-Ponte Mammolo area), where he graduated at the Lycée français Chateaubriand. Career (2003-present) In 2003, at the age of 20, Rech began working as an illustrator for ''Liberazione'', ''Carta, La Repubblica XL, and'' several other periodicals. At this time, he also wrote a webcomic titled ''Safe Inside'' for Zuda Comics, the online division of DC Comics. Tear Along The Dotted Line
''Tear Along the Dotted Line'' ( it, Strappare lungo i bordi) is a 2021 Italian adult animated comedy drama series written and directed by Italian cartoonist Zerocalcare. It follows Zero, a fictionalized version of Zerocalcare, who reflects on his path in life and a would-be love as he travel outside Rome with his friends Secco and Sara and his armadillo-for-a-conscience. The series is inspired by actual experiences lived by Zerocalcare, who voices most of the characters in the original version. It was released internationally on Netflix on 17 November 2021 to generally positive reviews from critics. Cortona
Cortona (, ) is a town and ''comune'' in the province of Arezzo, in Tuscany, Italy. It is the main cultural and artistic centre of the Val di Chiana after Arezzo. Toponymy Cortona is derived from Latin Cortōna, and from Etruscan 𐌂𐌖𐌓𐌕𐌖𐌍 (curtun). This may be related to Indo-European *ghortos meaning "enclosed place" and consequently walled city like Latin hortus, German Garten, Italian orto, English yard, and Slavic grad. The name may also be linked to the Phrygian town of Gordium in Anatolia, although the founding myth for the latter is that it was named after founder, King Gordias. The Teatro del Giglio (Theater of the Giglio) is the historic city theater and opera house located in Piazza del Giglio #13 and #15 in the center of Lucca, region of Tuscany, Italy. History The prior Teatro Pubblico (Public Theater), inaugurated in 1675, which had been destroyed by a fire and rebuilt. After the Napoleonic upheavals, the site had fallen to ruin. A new theater, represented by this Neoclassical-style structure, was built at the site in 1818 by Giovanni Lazzarini. MAXXI ( it, Museo nazionale delle arti del XXI secolo, italic=no, "national museum of 21st-century arts") is a national museum of contemporary art and architecture in the Flaminio neighborhood of Rome, Italy. The museum is managed by a foundation created by the Italian ministry of cultural heritage.
