Zero Patrol
''The Zero Patrol'' was a short-lived superhero team created by Continuity Comics in 1984. The Zero Patrol were a team of five people from Earth, collected to protect the universe. The series was a European comic originally titled ''Cinco por infinito'' or ''5 Infinity'', otherwise known as ''5 for Infinity'', a successful Spanish Comic produced between 1968 and 1970 written and drawn by Esteban Maroto, with Neal Adams supplying a new story and artwork. The original comic was featured in ''Delta 99'' and ''Dracula''. The title Zero Patrol for these American series came from Neal Adams' own previous comics - never published - based on material of his drawn and written years before. Ongoing Series
In comics, an ongoing series is a series that runs indefinitely. This is in contrast to limited series (a series intended to end after a certain number of issues thus limited), a one shot (a comic book which is not a part of an ongoing series), a graphic novel, or a trade paperback. However, a series of graphic novels may be considered ongoing as well. The term may also informally refer to a current or incomplete limited series with a predetermined number of issues. Characteristics An ongoing series is traditionally published on a fixed schedule, typically monthly or bimonthly but many factors can cause an issue to be published late. Continuity Comics
Continuity Publishing, also known as Continuity Comics, was an American independent comic book company formed by Neal Adams in 1984, publishing comics until 1994. History After years as a freelancer and comics art packager (with his company Continuity Associates), in 1984 Adams ventured into publishing as a way to maximize his creative freedom (and profits). Continuity mainly published a variety of superhero comics developed by Adams. For instance, the title '' Ms. Mystic'' was first published by Pacific Comics, and was revived in 1987 by Continuity. Esteban Maroto
Esteban Maroto (born 1942) is a Spanish comic book artist. Career Born in Madrid, he began his career in the 1960s with series like ''Cinco por infinito'', published in English by Continuity Comics as '' Zero Patrol'' (heavily retouched by editor Neal Adams). 'Wolff' by Maroto was published in the UK by New English Library in the magazine ''Dracula''. Dracula was published in the US by the Warren Publishing Company under the title ''Dracula Book 1'' in 1972; the cover was by Esteban Maroto. In the 1970s he started to be known in his own country when the magazine'' Trinca (comic)'' published ''Alma de Dragón''. Neal Adams
Neal Adams (June 15, 1941 – April 28, 2022) was an American comic book artist. He was the co-founder of the graphic design studio Continuity Associates, and was a creators-rights advocate who helped secure a pension and recognition for Superman creators Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. During his career, Adams co-created the characters Ra's al Ghul, Man-Bat, and John Stewart for DC Comics. After drawing the comic strip based on the television drama ''Ben Casey'' in the early 1960s, Adams was hired as a freelancer by DC Comics in 1967. Later that year, he became the artist for the superhero character Deadman in the science fiction comic book '' Strange Adventures''. Adams and writer Dennis O'Neil collaborated on influential runs on ''Batman'' and '' Green Lantern/Green Arrow'' in the early 1970s.
