Zeba Bakhtiar ( ur, ; born 5 November 1962) is a Pakistani film/TV actress and a television director. She is known for her TV drama ''Anarkali'' (1988), the Bollywood romantic drama ''Henna'' (1991), and the Lollywood movie, '' Sargam'' (1995). She produced and directed a movie ''Babu'' in 2001. Zeba won the best actress Nigar Award for the movie ''Sargam'' in 1995. Early life and family Zeba is the daughter of Yahya Bakhtiar, a lawyer, politician and pre-independence Muslim League activist who served as the Attorney General of Pakistan, and also played a key role in framing Pakistan's current constitution. Her father belonged to Quetta, while her mother Eva Bakhtiar was an English woman born to Hungarian parents. Her father died in 2003, and her mother died in 2011. Her parents met in the UK in the early 1940s and married, with her mother eventually settling in Pakistan in 1949 after graduating from the University College London. ''Henna'' is a 1991 Indian romance drama film, written by Khwaja Ahmad Abbas, produced and directed by Randhir Kapoor. It stars Rishi Kapoor, along with Pakistani actress Zeba Bakhtiyar in the title role and Ashwini Bhave. This film was planned and started by director Raj Kapoor, but due to his death during the filming, the remaining portions were directed by his eldest son Randhir. It is considered as the last film of Raj Kapoor. The dialogues of the film were written by the Pakistani writer Haseena Moin. The film was a critical and a commercial success and was also India's submission for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, but was not accepted as a nominee. Laag ( ur, لاگ) is a 1998 Pakistani action crime drama serial, run by PTV between 1998 and 2000. Its story was based on the issues of Kashmir and mostly shot in Pakistan administered part of Kashmir. Iqbal Kashmiri (1942 Lahore – 15 November 2020) was a Lollywood film director. Kashmiri died as a result of kidney disease. Kashmiri “delivered a total of 84 films, in Urdu, Punjabi and Pashto.” Early life and career Kashmiri's father, Karim Bakhsh, ran a hotel near Delhi Darwaza, Lahore, Pakistan.
