Zavaliv
Zavaliv ( uk, Завалів) (formerly pl, Zawałów) is a village (formerly a town) in the western part of Ternopil Raion (district) of Ternopil Oblast (province) of western Ukraine. The village is situated on the right bank of Zolota Lypa (stands for "Golden Lime Tree") river, 18 km away from the district center of Pidhaitsi. Zavaliv belongs to Pidhaitsi urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Hamlet Kamiana Hora was united with the village. Pidhaitsi Raion
Pidhaitsi Raion ( uk, Підгаєцький район) was a raion in the western part of Ternopil Oblast, western Ukraine. It was part of the historic area known as Halychyna (Galicia). The administrative center was the city of Pidhaitsi. The Koropets river flowed through the district. This raion was formed as a separate district on December 6, 1991 by a decree of the Ukrainian parliament. Before that it was part of neighbouring Berezhany Raion. The raion was abolished on 18 July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Ternopil Oblast to three. The area of Pidhaitsi Raion was merged into Ternopil Raion. Berezhany Raion
Berezhany Raion ( uk, Бережанський район) was a raion (district) in the westernmost corner of Ternopil Oblast (province) in western Ukraine, area traditionally known as Halychyna (''Galicia''). The administrative center was the city of Berezhany, some 50 km away from Ternopil and ca 80 km away from Lviv. Berezhany was separately incorporated as a city of oblast significance and did not belong to the raion. The Zolota Lypa river, a tributary of the Dniester tributary crossed the district from the north to the south. The river forms a large lake north of Berezhany. The raion was abolished on 18 July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Ternopil Oblast to three. Ivan Yakovych Franko (Ukrainian: Іван Якович Франко, pronounced ˈwɑn ˈjɑkowɪtʃ frɐnˈkɔ 27 August 1856 – 28 May 1916) was a Ukrainian poet, writer, social and literary critic, journalist, interpreter, economist, political activist, doctor of philosophy, ethnographer, and the author of the first detective novels and modern poetry in the Ukrainian language. Lubomyr Husar MSU ( uk, Любомир Гузар, Liubomyr Huzar; 26 February 1933 – 31 May 2017) was the Major Archbishop of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and the first elected in independent Ukraine. He was also a cardinal of the Catholic Church. After the transfer of the see of Lviv to Kyiv in 2005, he was the Ukrainian Catholic Major Archbishop of Kyiv-Galicia.
