Zaprešić
Zaprešić () is a town in Hrvatsko zagorje, Zagreb County in Croatia. It has a population of 19,644 inhabitants in the town proper, with 25,223 in the administrative area. The town's metropolitan area, which encompasses the seven neighbouring municipalities, has a population of 54,640. Zaprešić is the third-largest, and most densely populated town of the county. It is located northwest of the Croatian capital Zagreb, and near the Slovenian border. It is centered on plains north of the Sava River, and is bordered by Medvednica Mountain to the east, and the Marija Gorica Hills to the west. The first human settlement in, and near Zaprešić dates from the Neolithic, and several Roman roads were constructed in the area. Željko Turk
Željko Turk () (born 25 March 1962 in Zagreb) is the mayor of Zaprešić, a town in Zagreb County, Croatia. Business career Turk began his working career in Regeneracija factory, in town of Zabok. In 1991 he founded his own private company centered around textile production and trade. Political career He became the mayor in 2006. He is affiliated with the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ). He earned a seat in the Croatian Parliament at the 2007 elections and, as of January 11, 2008, constitutes a part of the sixth assembly of the Croatian Parliament. As the mayor of Zaprešić, Turk serves as the president of the Association of Cities. In 2017 local elections, Turk won another mandate over Danijel Saić of SDP. In 2021, Turk was re-elected as mayor of Zaprešić for the fifth time after beating Barbara Knežević of Homeland Movement in second round of local elections, which made him one of the longest serving mayors in Croatia. Lužnica, Croatia
Lužnica is a settlement (naselje) in the town of Zaprešić, Zagreb County, Croatia. According to the 2001 census, it had 62 inhabitants, spread over an area of . It is thus the smallest settlement by population in Zaprešić. The standard licence plates in Croatia consist of a two-letter city code which is separated by the Coat of Arms of Croatia from three or four numbers and one or two letters. Regular plates The standard regular plate consists of three or four randomly assigned numbers, one or two randomly assigned letters, and the first two letters indicate the city, separated by the Croatian Coat of Arms, while the numbers and the last letters are separated by a dash (example; ZG 000-A, ZG 000-AA, ZG 0000-A or ZG 0000-AA).
