Zamir Gotta
Iazamir "Zamir" Gotta (Russian: Язамир Готта) is a Russian producer and broadcaster. He is best known as the travelling companion of American chef Anthony Bourdain in his Travel Channel TV show '' Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations'', when they traveled to Uzbekistan, Russia and Romania and later in the U.S. Rust Belt, Ukraine, and Kansas City. Gotta also accompanied Bourdain for two episodes in Russia and Batumi, during Bourdain's subsequent series, Parts Unknown. The two originally met during a two-part episode in Saint Petersburg, Russia for Bourdain's earlier series, '' A Cook's Tour'' which aired on the Food Network in 2002. Gotta received his education from the Moscow State Pedagogical University (majoring in English). He worked as an instructor for military interpreters until the 1990s. A Cook's Tour (TV Series)
''A Cook's Tour'' is a travel and food show that aired on Food Network. Host Anthony Bourdain visits various countries and cities worldwide where hosts treat him to local culture and cuisine. Two seasons of episodes were produced in 2000 and 2001 and aired first-run in January 2002 through 2003 in the U.S. on the Food Network. Production NYU film program graduate, Lydia Tenaglia, working at ''New York Times Television'', picked up the book, '' Kitchen Confidential'', and learning that Bourdain was proposing an ''Innocents Abroad''-style travel journal as a follow-up project, Tenaglia picked up the phone and made a cold call.
