Zadarfest
Zadarfest is a music festival held annually since 1993 in Zadar, Croatia. In 2010, it was held in the Višnjik Hall, but was criticized for lack of appeal to the audience. The 2011 edition was moved to Kukljica on a nearby island, but was plagued by bad weather and attendance issues as well. The festival gives out several awards, the highest being the Grand Prix. Vanna (singer)
Ivana Ranilović-Vrdoljak (born 1 September 1970 in Koprivnica, Croatia, SFR Yugoslavia), better known by her stage name Vanna, is a Croatian pop singer. Biography As a child, Vanna won prizes in various national children and youth festivals. Her debut was at the 1990 Zagrebfest, a music festival held in Zagreb. In that year she left her hometown to live and study in Zagreb and whilst studying, she performed in a band called BOA singing back vocals. In 1992 her professional career as a singer was launched. She joined a eurodance band called Electro Team who started to perform as hip hop and pop rap group and became an instant star. Not only was she a singer but a co-author and songwriter of all the songs performed by Electro Team. The song "Tek je 12 sati" where group turned to eurodance sound became a huge hit in 1993, and was popular elsewhere across the former Yugoslavia republics. Petar Grašo
Petar Grašo (born 19 March 1976) is a Croatian pop singer and songwriter. Born in Split to basketball player Zoran Grašo, he rose to prominence when Oliver Dragojević performed one of his first songs "Boginja" on the Dora contest in 1995. Since then, he has collaborated greatly with Dragojević, and has also worked with Doris Dragović, Danijela Martinović, Tonči Huljić, Goran Bregović, and Lepa Brena. In 1996, he won the Zadarfest music festival in Zadar with his song "Trebam nekoga", which promulgated him to wide fame. He placed second in Dora 1997, Croatia's qualifying competition for Eurovision Song Contest 1997. Today, he is one of the most popular male pop singers in Croatia, and is also well known in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, and North Macedonia. Vesna Pisarović
Vesna Pisarović (born 9 April 1978) is a Croatian pop and jazz singer. Life and career 1978–1999: Early life Pisarović was born in Brčko, SR Bosnia and Herzegovina, SFR Yugoslavia and grew up in Požega, SR Croatia, a part of the same country until she was 13. From her earliest childhood she attended a music school, where she played the flute, sang in choirs and participated in various music contests.
