ZZZap!
''Zzzap'' (rendered ''ZZZap!'') is a British children's television comedy programme. The concept of the show is a giant 18 ft comic that has been brought to life. The show was broadcast on ITV from 8 January 1993 until 21 September 2001 and was produced for ten series by The Media Merchants and Meridian Broadcasting. Format The programme follows the same format throughout its run. A title intro is shown consisting of a couple of short clips for each character from the series. It is then followed by a series of short two- or three-minute-long segments, followed by the credits. Each segment is introduced by the camera zooming in on a corresponding panel on a giant comic, shot in reverse (e.g.: The Camera starting at the Panel, and pulling back) and then played in reverse. Sophie Aldred
Sophie Aldred (born 20 August 1962) is an English actress and television presenter. She has worked extensively in children's television as a presenter and voice artist. She played the Seventh Doctor's companion, Ace, in the television series ''Doctor Who'' during the late 1980s, becoming the final companion in the series' first run. Early life Aldred was born in Greenwich, London, but grew up in nearby Blackheath. She sang in the church choir of St James', Kidbrooke, and attended Blackheath High School from 1973 until 1980. She then enrolled as a drama student at the University of Manchester. She graduated in 1983 and decided to embark on a career in children's theatre. Neil Buchanan
Neil Buchanan (born 11 October 1956) is an English artist, photographer, and musician, best known for his work on British children's television. During his tenure as a children's television presenter, he hosted the CITV programme ''Art Attack'', a television program that he co-created, during its original run from 1990 to 2007, as well as ''Finders Keepers'' and '' It's a Mystery'', while he also produced and starred in CITV's ''ZZZap!''. {{Unreferenced, date=December 2009 ''Room 785'' was a children's television programme broadcast on the BFBS 1 channel, part of the British Forces Broadcasting Service. It had a similar format to CBBC in that the presenters were situated in a small studio and introduced the programmes from there. There was more emphasis on emailing and texting in to the show, as it was broadcast wherever BFBS was received and allowed children to send messages to their parents who may have been on operations. The show, which took its name from the British Forces Post Office number used as its address, was previously known as Children's SSVC.
