''Zürichsee-Zeitung'', commonly shortened to ''ZSZ'', is a Swiss German-language daily newspaper, published in Stäfa. History and profile In 1845 the precursing "Wochenblatt vom Zürichsee" was founded as a liberal newspaper by the ''Lesegesellschaft Stäfa'' (literally: Reading Society Stäfa, and was taken over by Rudolf Gull in 1857. From 1881 to 1920 Gull's son Emil junior was the editor in chief; he renamed the weekly newspaper in 1907 in ''Zürichsee-Zeitung'' and formet it as a daily newspaper in 1914. Gull's successor Theodor Gut took over the newspaper in 1933, and was the publisher of the newspaper emphasized now a liberal orientation. His son of the same name, editor in chief from 1953 to 1987, initiated the transition to a non-partisan forum newspaper, and the company expanded in 1983 to get involved in Radio Zürisee. ''Der Landbote'', commonly shortened to ''Landbote'', is a Swiss, German-language daily newspaper, published in Winterthur, Switzerland. History and profile ''Der Landbote'' was founded in 1836 in Winterthur as a liberal weekly paper of the so-called ''Landschaft'', i.e. the region of the canton of Zürich excluding the city of Zürich. Radio Zürisee (or radio zürisee according to the radio's logo; literally ''Radio Zürichsee''), is a privately-owned Swiss radio station based in Rapperswil on the shore of the Lake Zurich in the canton of St. Gallen. History Radio Zürisee was launched on 1 November 1983 in occasion of the licensing of private radio stations in Switzerland, as one of the first alternatives to the Swiss government-owned radio stations. In 2008, the station was allowed to establish a correspondent at the '' Bundeshaus'' by the Swiss government – the ''Bundeshaus Radio'' is airing for all 16 private radio stations from the sessions of the Swiss parliament assembly in the capital city. ''Obersee Nachrichten'', commonly shortened to ''ON'', is a Swiss German-language weekly newspaper, published in Rapperswil. History and profile ''Obersee Nachrichten'' was founded by the publisher Bruno Hug. The first issue was published on 20 June 1981. By the end of 1999, ''Obersee Nachrichten AG'' was sold to the Mediengruppe West Schweiz AG, headquartered in Chur. The staff comprises 12 employees in five (500%) full-time jobs, as well as employees comprising the newspaper ''prepress'' (Südostschweiz, Glarus) and the ''print shop'' (Südostschweiz Partner AG, Haag). Stäfa is a municipality in the district of Meilen in the canton of Zürich in Switzerland. Geography Stäfa has an area of . Of this area, 46.1% is used for agricultural purposes, while 18.8% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 34% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (1%) is non-productive (rivers, glaciers or mountains). housing and buildings made up 26.7% of the total area, while transportation infrastructure made up the rest (7.2%).
