Zürichberg
The Zürichberg is a wooded hill rising to 679 m (2,228 feet), overlooking Lake Zürich and located immediately to the east of the city of Zürich, Switzerland, between the valleys of the Limmat and the Glatt rivers. Its highest point is about 270 metres above the Limmat and it is part of a chain of hills, such as Käferberg, Adlisberg, Forch and Pfannenstiel, between the Greifensee/Glattal and Lake Zürich. It is a picturesque location, and the lower western side of the hill is now part of the residential district of Zürich. The Zürich Zoo and FIFA's headquarters are located on the Zürichberg as well. There are grand mansions on the roads up the hill, and it is also the location of restaurants and hotels. The upper part of the hill is mostly woodland and a popular recreational area. Zürichberg Tunnel
The Zürichberg Tunnel (german: Zürichbergtunnel) is a railway tunnel in the Swiss city of Zürich. The tunnel runs from a junction with the Lake Zürich right bank line at Zürich Stadelhofen station, to Stettbach railway station. It passes under the Zürichberg range of hills that separates Zürich city centre from the Glattal region. The tunnel incorporated a set of underground platforms at Stettbach station, and carries twin standard gauge () tracks electrified at 15 kV AC 16,7 Hz using overhead line. The tunnel is principally used by suburban trains of the Zürich S-Bahn, but occasional use is also made by postal trains, freight trains, and long-distance passenger trains. Adlisberg
Adlisberg, with an elevation of , is a wooded mountain in Switzerland overlooking Zürichsee (Lake Zürich) to the northwest near the Zürichberg. Geography Adlisberg mountain is located to the east of the city of Zürich, between the Glatt river valley and Lake Zürich. Its highest point is about above the Lake Zürich. Käferberg (el. ) and Waidberg (el. ) are the summits of a wooded mountain respectively chain of hills overlooking the inner city of Zürich, Zürichsee, Albis chain and Uetliberg, as well as the Limmat Valley and the Zürcher Unterland in Switzerland. Zürich Zoologischer Garten
The Zoo Zürich is a zoo located in Zürich, Switzerland and together with the Basel Zoo is considered one of the best zoos in Europe. Opened in 1929, it is the third oldest zoo in Switzerland (after Basel and Arth-Goldau) and it accumulated a collection of 2,200 specimens of 300 species by its seventy-fifth year. The Funicular Rigiblick (german: Seilbahn Rigiblick) is a funicular railway in the north-east of the city of Zürich, Switzerland. It links a lower station served by Zürich tram routes 9 and 10 and Zürich trolleybus route 33, with an upper station at Rigiblick on the Zürichberg hill. Irchelpark
Irchelpark is the biggest public park in the city of Zürich in Switzerland, and claims to be the most spacious park in Switzerland. Location Irchelpark is situated mainly in Zürich- Unterstrass, a district of the city of Zürich. The area also houses the Irchelpark faculty of the University of Zürich and is one of the largest public parks in Zürich.
