Zé Roberto (footballer, Born 1978)
José Roberto Gomes Santana, commonly known as Zé Roberto (born September 13, 1978, in Pastos Bons) is an association footballer who last played for the San Diego Sockers in the Major Arena Soccer League. Zé Roberto began his career in his native Brazil, where he played with several clubs in the lower divisions. In 2002, he went abroad to North America to sign with the Hershey Wildcats of the A-League. After the Wildcats folded, Zé Roberto was signed by the Montreal Impact in 2002. In Montreal he played an important role that would transform the Impact into a league powerhouse that would eventually dominate the league for latter part of the decade. His accolades during his tenure with Montreal include the League Championship, Regular-Season Championship, and the Voyageurs Cup. In January, 2010 he was ranked 22nd in the USL First Division Top 25 of the Decade, which announced a list of the best and most influential players of the previous decade. USL First Division
The USL First Division (usually referred to as USL-1) was a professional men's soccer league in the United States and Canada from 2005 to 2010. During its existence, it formed the second tier of soccer in the United States soccer league system behind Major League Soccer. It was operated by United Soccer Leagues (USL) and was known as the A-League, from 1997 until 2004. Several teams left the league in 2009 to form the new North American Soccer League, with the intent of running their own second-tier league. Following a brief legal dispute, the two leagues operated in tandem under United States Soccer Federation (USSF) mediation as the USSF Division 2 Professional League in 2010 before the split became final. Detroit Ignition (MISL) Players
The Detroit Ignition were an American indoor soccer team that has played three seasons, most recently 2008–09. In April 2006, Greg Bibb, president of Hantz Group Sports and Entertainment, introduced the teams as a new Major Indoor Soccer League expansion team. They played at the Compuware Sports Arena in Plymouth Township, Michigan. Their first season was 2006–07 MISL season. After the 2007–08 MISL season, the league folded. Soon afterwards, the Ignition joined the Xtreme Soccer League. The Ignition ended the 2008–09 campaign in first place which netted them the XSL title. The XSL went on "hiatus" after one season. The 2008 Season is the 22nd edition of the United Soccer Leagues season. The season kicked off on Friday, April 12 with two First Division games, as the Charleston Battery visited Miami FC and the Montreal Impact visited the Vancouver Whitecaps. General * Changes in the First Division: the California Victory take the 2008 season off, leaving 11 teams playing a 30-game schedule. * Changes in the Second Division: the Pittsburgh Riverhounds return from hiatus, and Real Maryland FC join as an expansion team. However, the Cincinnati Kings and New Hampshire Phantoms drop to the PDL. 10 teams play a 20-game schedule this season. * In the PDL, 5 teams withdrew for the 2008 season, while 7 expansion teams and the two voluntary relegations increase the league to 67 teams in 10 divisions across 4 conferences. Leslie Fitzpatrick
Leslie "Tiger" Fitzpatrick (born November 11, 1978 in Port of Spain) is a former Trinidadian soccer player. Career College Fitzpatrick came to the United States to play college soccer, and spent four years at Columbia University, where he was named All-Ivy League his senior year. In 2016, Leslie received his Masters of Science in Education with a focus in Sports Administration from the University of Miami. Professional Fitzpatrick played with the A-League's Cincinnati Riverhawks in 2002, the Columbus Shooting Stars in 2003 and the Atlanta Silverbacks in 2004, before signing with Real Salt Lake prior to team's inaugural season in 2005. Luke Kreamalmeyer (born September 28, 1982 in Edwardsville, Illinois) is a professional American soccer player. Career College and amateur Kreamalmeyer attended Edwardsville High School where he scored a hat trick in the final state championship soccer game. Kreamalmeyer scored a record high 38 goals his senior season at Edwardsville and added 13 assists. Kreamalmeyer was voted First-team All American during his senior season at Edwardsville. Luke recorded 74 total goals at Edwardsville. He then played college soccer at Bradley University from 2001 to 2004. Luke made the MVC-All Freshman team in 2001. Kreamalmeyer was named first team All-Missouri Valley Conference as a junior and senior, and finished his career with 26 goals and 20 assists for the Braves.
