Záhony ( hu, Záhonyi járás) is a district in northern part of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County. ''Záhony'' is also the name of the town where the district seat is found. The district is located in the Northern Great Plain Statistical Region. This district is a part of Rétköz geographical region. Geography Záhony District borders with the Ukrainian oblast of Zakarpattia to the northeast, Vásárosnamény District to the southeast, Kisvárda District to the south, Cigánd District ''( Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County)'' to the west, the Slovakian region of Košice to the northwest. Zsurk
Zsurk is a village in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county, in the Northern Great Plain region of eastern Hungary. Zsurk is essentially a one-street, strip-filled settlement in the northern tip of Nyírség, on the left bank of the Tisa. It has only two neighbors on the Hungarian side of the border: Záhony on the west and Tiszaszentmárton on the south.
