Zvi Shiloah
Zvi Shiloah ( he, צבי שילוח, 6 March 1911 10 October 2000) was an Israeli politician who served as a member of the Knesset for Tehiya in 1984. Biography Born Zvi Langsam in Boryslav, Austria-Hungary (today in Ukraine), Shiloah was educated in a local gymnasium. During his youth he was a member of the Gordonia movement. He made aliyah to Mandatory Palestine in 1932, and studied history at Tel Aviv University. In 1934 he joined Mapai, and four years later began working for Herzliya Workers Council. In 1941 he enlisted to the Artillery Corps of the British Army, and headed a Jewish Brigade delegation to the Munich Displaced Persons camp. In 1949 he became editor of ''HaDoar'', a role he held until 1954. He was elected onto the Mapai central committee in 1950, and Herzliya city council in 1954. Boryslav
Boryslav ( uk, Борислав; pl, Borysław) is a city located on the Tysmenytsia (river), Tysmenytsia (a tributary of the Dniester), in Drohobych Raion, Lviv Oblast (Oblast, region) of western Ukraine. It hosts the administration of Boryslav urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Boryslav is a major center of petroleum industry. Likud ( he, הַלִּיכּוּד, HaLikud, The Consolidation), officially known as Likud – National Liberal Movement, is a major centre-right to right-wing political party in Israel. It was founded in 1973 by Menachem Begin and Ariel Sharon in an alliance with several right-wing parties. Likud's landslide victory in the 1977 elections was a major turning point in the country's political history, marking the first time the left had lost power. In addition, it was the first time in Israel that a right-wing party won the plurality of the votes. After ruling the country for most of the 1980s, the party lost the Knesset election in 1992.
