Antonijo Zupan (born October 10, 1976) is a Croatian retired footballer who played in the Croatian First Football League, and the Canadian Soccer League. Playing career Zupan began his career with NK Zadar, Zadarkomerc in the Croatian First Football League in 1995, where he would spend a total of four seasons appearing in 66 matches and recording one goal. After the relegation of NK Zadar to the Croatian Second Football League, he signed with NK Istra. In 2003, he went abroad to Canada to sign with Toronto Croatia of the Canadian Professional Soccer League (1998-2005), Canadian Professional Soccer League. He made his debut for the club on July 11, 2003 in the match against St. Catharines Wolves. Dim Zupan (born 19 February 1946) is a Slovene children's writer. He has also published three novels for adult readers. Zupan was born in Ljubljana in 1946. He studied Law at the University of Ljubljana. He published his first children's book in 1991, introducing the characters of Drekec Pekec and Pukec Smukec (Super Pooper and Farty Party) which became very popular with young readers and feature in a further four of his books. Jure Zupan is a Slovenian physicist and founder of chemomectrics research in Slovenia, known for his work in applications and development of artificial neural networks in chemistry. Olin Distinguished Professor of Economics and Public Policy, Director of the Bradley Policy Research Center and a dean at University of Rochester's Simon Business School. Mark Zupan (born May 20, 1975) is a wheelchair rugby player and the captain of the United States wheelchair rugby team which competed in the Paralympic Games in 2004. He is best known for his appearance in the 2005 film '' Murderball''. Zupan was also a part of the 2008 United States gold winning team at the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games. Wheelchair rugby (originally murderball, and known as quad rugby in the United States) is a team sport for athletes with a disability. It is practised in over twenty-five countries around the world and is a summer Paralympic sport. The US name is based on the requirement that all wheelchair rugby players need to have disabilities that include at least some loss of function in at least three limbs. Although most have spinal cord injuries, players may also qualify through multiple amputations, neurological disorders or other medical conditions. Players are assigned a functional level in points, and each team is limited to fielding a team with a total of eight points. Martha "Marty" L. Zupan (born April 5, 1949) is the President Emeritus of the Institute for Humane Studies. Biography Zupan received a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy and psychology from the State University of New York at Fredonia. In 1975, she joined '' Reason'' as a book review editor, became associate editor in 1978, and served through the 1980s as managing editor and editor-in-chief, leaving in 1989. In 1987 Zupan wrote ''Liberated Cooking: Rabble-Rousing Recipes from Assorted Libertarian Luminaries'' with Lou Villadsen. Matjaž Zupan
Matjaž Zupan (born 27 September 1968 in Kranj) is a Slovenian former ski jumper who competed for the former Yugoslavia and afterwards for independent Slovenia from 1987 to 1994. He won a silver medal in the team large hill competition at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary. His best finish at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships was 4th in the individual large hill event in 1987. After his jumping days were over he a started successful coaching career. He was the coach of the Slovenian national ski jumping team from 1999 to 2006. Miha Zupan (born September 13, 1982) is a Slovenian former professional basketball player. He played among hearing players at the highest level in Europe, despite being deaf since birth. He is a 2.05 m (6 ft in) power forward who can also play center when needed. He is the only deaf person to play in professional basketball league and in the EuroCup. Miha Zupan has competed at the Deaflympics on 5 occasions from 1997 to 2017. Early years Zupan spent most of his childhood in a special school for the deaf, eventually learning to speak.
