Eugenia Rich Zukerman (born September 25, 1944, Cambridge, Massachusetts) is an American flutist, writer, and journalist. An internationally renowned flute virtuoso, Zukerman has been performing with major orchestras and at major music festivals internationally for more than three decades. Since 1980 she has been the Classical Music Correspondent for ''CBS News Sunday Morning'' where she has profiled hundreds of artists. She was the Artistic Director of the lauded Bravo! George Zukerman
George Benedict Zukerman, (February 22, 1927 – February 1, 2023) was a Canadian bassoonist and impresario. He was the youngest brother of musicologist, Joseph Kerman. As of 2019, he lived with his partner, violinist and teacher, Erika Bennedik, in South Surrey, B.C. He is the founder of White Rock Concerts. Zukerman died on February 1, 2023, at the age of 95. Natalia Zukerman (born June 25, 1975) is an American artist and musician. She blends genres of blues, jazz, bluegrass and folk. Personal life Zukerman was born in Manhattan, the daughter of violinist/violist/conductor Pinchas Zukerman and flutist/writer Eugenia Zukerman, and the sister of opera singer Arianna Zukerman. In 1997 she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Art at Oberlin College. Her senior thesis culminated in an exhibit of large-scale mixed media paintings. She is openly lesbian. Pinchas Zukerman ( he, פנחס צוקרמן, born 16 July 1948) is an Israeli-American violinist, violist and conductor. Life and career Zukerman was born in Tel Aviv, to Jewish parents and Holocaust survivors Yehuda and Miriam Lieberman Zukerman. He began his musical studies at age four, on the recorder. His father then taught him to play the clarinet and then the violin at age eight. Early studies were at the Samuel Rubin Academy of Music (now the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music).
