A beauty pageant is a competition that has traditionally focused on judging and ranking the physical attributes of the contestants. Miss Europe 2003, was the 56th edition and the first edition under Endemol France; who bought the pageant from Mr. Roger Zeigler and the Mondial Events Organization in between this edition and the previous edition. Miss Hungary is a national Beauty pageant in Hungary first held in 1929. History * 1929 - World War II The first pageant was held in 1929 and the winner of it won the Miss Europe title. In 1936 Zsa Zsa Gabor won the title, but she was underaged so she couldn't compete in Miss Europe. Miss Europe is a beauty pageant for European women from all over Europe. It was established in February 1927 by Fanamet, the European distributor of Paramount, as a one-off event where the winner was to star in a film directed by Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau. After the initial twelve-person jury couldn't decide between 10 contestants, a runoff election was held where Murnau chose the winner. Murnau ended up choosing Štefica Vidačić of Yugoslavia as the winner and the first ever Miss Europe.
