Zoran Ostojić
Zoran Ostojić ( sr-Cyrl, Зоран Остојић; born 25 October 1956) is a journalist and politician in Serbia. He was a member of the National Assembly of Serbia from 2008 to 2014, serving for most of this time as a member of the Liberal Democratic Party (''Liberalno demokratska partija'', LDP). He was previously a prominent journalist with RTV Studio B and served as the station's director from February to October 1997. Early life and journalism career Ostojić was born in Ub, in what was then the People's Republic of Serbia in the Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia. He graduated from the University of Belgrade Faculty of Economics and initially worked at Studio B from 1986 to 1993 as a journalist, editor, and presenter. He left the station in December 1993 and moved to Chicago in the United States of America, where he lived from 1994 to 1997. ''Danas'' (, Serbo-Croatian for "today") is a United Group-owned daily newspaper of record published in Belgrade, Serbia. The current Constitution of the Republic of Serbia ( sr, / ), also known as Mitrovdan Constitution ( sr, / ) was adopted in 2006, replacing the previous constitution dating from 1990. The adoption of new constitution became necessary in 2006 when Serbia became independent after Montenegro's secession and the dissolution of Serbia and Montenegro. Dejan Šoškić ( sr-cyr, Дејан Шошкић, ; born 15 March 1967, Belgrade) is a Serbian economist who served as the governor of the National Bank of Serbia between 2010 and 2012. He is a full professor at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Belgrade. The Serbian Progressive Party ( sr-cyrl, Српска напредна странка, Srpska napredna stranka, SNS) has been the ruling political party of Serbia since 2012. Founded by Tomislav Nikolić and Aleksandar Vučić in 2008 as a split from the far-right Serbian Radical Party (SRS), the SNS served in opposition to the Democratic Party (DS) for the next several years.
