Pagani Zonda
The Pagani Zonda is a mid-engine sports car produced by the Italian sports car manufacturer Pagani. It debuted at the 1999 Geneva Motor Show. By 2019, a total of 140 cars had been built, including development mules. Both 2-door coupé and roadster variants have been produced along with a third new variant being the barchetta. Construction is mainly of carbon fibre. The Zonda was originally to be named the "Fangio F1" after Formula One champion Juan Manuel Fangio, but, following his death in 1995, it was renamed for the Zonda wind, a regional term for a hot air current above Argentina. Zonda (horse)
Zonda (foaled 5 December 1994) is a retired New Zealand Thoroughbred racehorse who won the New Zealand Derby in 1997. His career faced unfortunate setbacks from injury. Despite this, many consider him one of New Zealand's top horses of the 1990s. The son of Zabeel took three races to clear maidens, but followed that Paeroa win with four more wins in a row, including the Avondale Guineas, the Derby and a victory in the Group 2 Alister Clark Stakes at Moonee Valley in Melbourne. He followed that Melbourne win up with a third-placing at Caulfield and second in the 1998 Cadbury Guineas behind Gold Guru, before finishing a disappointing fifth in the Rosehill Guineas behind Tie The Knot and Tycoon Lil. However, it became clear that he had suffered an injury in that race, and he wasn't seen again on the track for two and a half years. Zonda Department (Spanish: ''Departamento Zonda'') is an administrative department of San Juan Province in Argentina. Zonda is located in the south of the province, bordered by Ullum Department to the north, Sarmiento Department to the south, Calingasta Department to the east, and Pocito Department and Rivadavia Department to the west. As of the 2010 INDEC census, Zonda has a population of 4,863, with a density of 2.6 people per square kilometer. It is one of the most sparsely populated regions in the province. The largest settlement within Zonda is concentrated towards the northeast of the department in the village of Villa Basilio Nievas, which is also known simply as "Zonda". Much of the west of the department has a mountainous, rugged terrain that is sparsely populated. The name of the department comes from indigenous roots, meaning "high sky".
