Zombie Spring Breakers
''Zombie Spring Breakers'' (previously ''Ibiza Undead'') is a 2016 horror film written and directed by Andy Edwards. Premiered at London's FrightFest Film Festival in August 2016, the film stars Cara Theobold and Matt King. The story follows a similar plot to 2013's Go Goa Gone. Synopsis A group of young people head to Ibiza for the holiday of a lifetime – only to find a zombie outbreak getting in the way. In the world of Ibiza Undead zombies are commonplace and a new strain of virus has started appearing across the globe, rendering its victims as flesh-eating maniacs. Britain has been severely affected, but zombie are managed and frequent checks ensure that no virus carriers make it across the borders. Club owner Karl (Matt King) decides that deranged podium dancing zombies are just what he needs for his Ibiza nightclub, so he commissions a boat full of them to be smuggled in. Cara Theobold
Cara Louise Theobold (born 8 January 1990) is an English actress who trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Her first acting role was Ivy Stuart in the third and fourth series of television period drama ''Downton Abbey'' and is also known for voice acting as Tracer in the video game ''Overwatch''. Life and career Theobold was educated at Outwood Grange Academy before attending the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She initially auditioned for the ''Downton Abbey'' role of Ivy over Christmas 2011, during her final year. She was allowed to finish her final year of drama school early to begin filming the series at Easter. Theobold characterised Ivy as "ambitious" and "a dreamer". She returned for the fourth series of the show in 2013. Her work on the series resulted in her being a co-recipient of the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. ''The Inbetweeners'' is a British coming-of-age television teen sitcom, which originally aired on E4 from 2008 until 2010 and was created and written by Damon Beesley and Iain Morris. The series follows the misadventures of suburban teenager William McKenzie (Simon Bird) and his friends Simon Cooper ( Joe Thomas), Neil Sutherland (Blake Harrison) and Jay Cartwright ( James Buckley) at the fictional Rudge Park Comprehensive. Christopher Matthew Simmons (born 8 January 1975 in Gravesend, Kent) is an English television and stage actor. He is best known for his roles as DC Mickey Webb in ''The Bill'', Mark Garland in '' EastEnders'' and Stuart Summer in ''Hollyoaks''. Matthew Kennard (born 12 February 1982) is an English television actor, best known for his role as nurse Archie Hallam in the BBC One soap opera ''Doctors (2000 TV series), Doctors''. Career Kennard was born in Grimsby, Humberside, and has played roles in soap operas including ''Coronation Street'', ''Hollyoaks'' and ''Doctors (2000 TV series), Doctors''. He also starred as Manchester United footballer Duncan Edwards in a BBC dramatisation of the 1958 Munich air disaster. ''Go Goa Gone'' is a 2013 Indian Hindi-language zombie action comedy film directed by Raj and D.K. The film features Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Khemu, Vir Das, Anand Tiwari and Puja Gupta. It was released on 10 May 2013. Almost one third of the film was shot in Mauritius. It is the first Indian zombie film. ''Go Goa Gone'' was successful at the box office. It received mixed reviews, but it received praise for its pacing, editing and use of zombies, though the screenplay and the second act received criticism. Matt King (born 31 January 1968) is an English actor, DJ and comedian currently residing in Brighton. He is best known for his role as List of Peep Show characters#Super Hans, Super Hans in the British sitcom ''Peep Show (British TV series), Peep Show''. Early life King was born in Watford, Hertfordshire, England on 31 January 1968. He moved to Australia where he worked as a chef before meeting Jimeoin McKeown. McKeown suggested that King become a stand-up comedian. King worked in the Australian comedy circuit for 15 years before returning to the UK. London FrightFest Film Festival
FrightFest, also known as Arrow Video FrightFest is an annual film festival held in London and Glasgow. The festival holds three major events each year: a festival running five days over the UK late August Bank Holiday weekend, a Halloween event held in London in late October, and a festival in Glasgow held around February as part of the Glasgow Film Festival. The first event was held in London in 2000 and the first Glasgow festival was held in 2006. As its name indicates FrightFest primary focus is on the horror film genre, however, the event regularly features documentaries, science fiction and thriller films.
