Dawn Of The Dead (1978 Film)
''Dawn of the Dead'' is a 1978 zombie horror film written, directed, and edited by George A. Romero, and produced by Richard P. Rubinstein. An American-Italian international co-production, it is the second film in Romero's series of zombie films, and though it contains no characters or settings from the preceding film ''Night of the Living Dead'' (1968), it shows the larger-scale effects of a zombie apocalypse on society. In the film, a phenomenon of unidentified origin has caused the reanimation of the dead, who prey on human flesh. David Emge, Ken Foree, Scott Reiniger, and Gaylen Ross star as survivors of the outbreak who barricade themselves inside a suburban shopping mall amid mass hysteria. Romero waited to make another zombie film after ''Night of the Living Dead'' for several years to avoid being stereotyped as a horror director. Upon visiting Monroeville Mall in Monroeville, Pennsylvania with a friend whose company managed the complex, he decided to use the location as t ...

Zombi 2
''Zombi 2'' is a 1979 Italian zombie film directed by Lucio Fulci. It was adapted from an original screenplay by Dardano Sacchetti to serve as a sequel to George A. Romero's '' Dawn of the Dead'' (1978), which was released in Italy with the title ''Zombi''. It stars Tisa Farrow, Ian McCulloch, and Richard Johnson, and features a score by frequent Fulci collaborator Fabio Frizzi. Frizzi's score has been released independently of the film, and he has performed it live on tour. The film tells the story of a Caribbean island cursed by voodoo whose dead residents rise as zombies to attack the living. A scientist's daughter journeys to the island after her father's boat turns up abandoned in New York City. Intended by its writer as a return to "classic zombie tales", ''Zombi 2'' was filmed in Italy, with further location shooting in New York and Santo Domingo. Produced on a small budget of 410 million Italian lira, the film earned several times its production costs back in interna ...

Lucio Fulci
Lucio Fulci (; 17 June 1927 – 13 March 1996) was an Italian film director, screenwriter, and actor. Although he worked in a wide array of genres through a career spanning nearly five decades, including comedies and Spaghetti Westerns, he garnered an international cult following for his giallo and horror films. His most notable films include the "Gates of Hell" trilogy—''City of the Living Dead'' (1980), '' The Beyond'' (1981), and ''The House by the Cemetery'' (1981)—as well as ''Massacre Time'' (1966), ''One on Top of the Other'' (1969), ''Beatrice Cenci'' (1969), ''A Lizard in a Woman's Skin'' (1971), ''Don't Torture a Duckling'' (1972), ''White Fang'' (1973), ''Four of the Apocalypse'' (1975), ''Sette note in nero'' (1977), ''Zombi 2'' (1979), '' Contraband'' (1980), ''The New York Ripper'' (1982), ''Murder Rock'' (1984), and ''A Cat in the Brain'' (1990). Although a number of films over the years were said to have been "co-produced" by Fulci, he was just allowing them ...

Zombi (film Series)
The ''Zombi'' series refers collectively to horror films that have been marketed, in various territories, as sequels to either George A. Romero's Italian-American film '' Dawn of the Dead'' (1978) or Lucio Fulci's Italian film ''Zombi 2'' (1979). The latter was itself marketed by Italian distributors as a sequel to the former. A confusing history has emerged from the practice of reworking films as ''Zombi'' movies for release in different countries, a process during which a film may be given a different title in each country where it is released. In Britain and Thailand, these films were released as the ''Zombie Flesh Eaters'' series. In North America and Germany, the films became known as the ''Zombie'' series. The films maintained their original spelling, ''Zombi'', when released in Australia and other select countries. The ''Zombi'' series began when Romero's ''Dawn of the Dead'' film (released in European countries as ''Zombi'') was re-edited by Dario Argento and re-scored ...

Zombi (1986 Video Game)
''Zombi'' is an icon-driven action-adventure video game. It was Ubisoft's first publication, released in 1986. It was programmed by Yannick Cadin and S. L. Coemelck, with graphics by Patrick Daher and music by Philippe Marchiset. Gameplay A first-person action adventure, it borrows heavily from the George A. Romero film '' Dawn of the Dead'': four protagonists exploring a zombie-filled shopping mall, gunshops, escalators, and the articulated trucks used to block the entrances. If a character's health is depleted, he turns into a zombie, which then roams the room they died in. Zombies can be killed either by numerous body shots, or a single shot to the head. Characters are named after the creators of the game. Ports The game was re-released in 1990, with ports developed for the ZX Spectrum (by Geoff Phillips, Colin Jones and Steve Chance), Commodore 64 (Jean Noel Moyne, Laurent Poujoulat, Jean Francois Auroux), Amiga (Alexander Yarmitsky), Atari ST and DOS (Yannick Cadin). ZombiU
''ZombiU'' is a first-person survival horror video game developed by Ubisoft Montpellier and published by Ubisoft. It was released for the Wii U as one of its launch games in November 2012. In the game, the player assumes control of a human survivor amid a 2012 zombie apocalypse. Featuring a permadeath system, it uses the Wii U GamePad extensively to scan the environment and maintain the survivor's inventory. The game was released under the name ''Zombi'' for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2015. The port, handled by Straight Right, adds new melee weapons and removes the multiplayer feature. Ubisoft was approached by Nintendo to develop a mature game for its gaming console, Wii U. Originally envisioned as a spin-off of the ''Raving Rabbids'' franchise and a fast-paced first-person shooter, ''Killer Freaks from Outer Space'' (with small, agile monsters), the game was retooled as ''ZombiU'' after the development team realized that the Wii U GamePad was suitable ...

Damballa
Damballa, also spelled Damballah, Dambala, Dambalah, among other variations ( ht, Danbala), is one of the most important of all loa, spirits in Haitian Voodoo and other African diaspora religious traditions such as Obeah. He is traditionally portrayed as a great white or black serpent, originating in the city of Wedo (Whydah or Ouidah) in modern-day Benin. Damballa is said to be the Sky Father and the primordial creator of all life, or the first thing created by Gran Met. In those Vodou societies that view Damballa as the primordial creator, he created the cosmos by using his 7,000 coils to form the stars and the planets in the heavens and to shape the hills and valleys on earth. In others, being the first thing created by God, creation was undertaken through him. By shedding the serpent skin, Damballa created all the waters on the earth. As a serpent, he moves between land and water, generating life, and through the earth, uniting the land with the waters below. Damballa is u ...
