Zombeatles
The Zombeatles are a zombie parody version of the rock group The Beatles. Stemming from Madison, Wisconsin band The Gomers, the group's 2006 video ''Hard Day's Night Of The Living Dead'' gained international status when horror film director and musician Rob Zombie chose it as one of his top YouTube Halloween video picks of 2007, resulting in over a million views worldwide. In 2009 they released an album called ''Meat the Zombeatles'' and a mockumentary called ''The Zombeatles: All You Need Is Brains'' as well as touring New Jersey and appearing with John Wesley Harding and Eugene Mirman in their ''Cabinet Of Wonders Variety Show'' in April. The Gomers
The Gomers are a Madison, Wisconsin-based comedy rock, experimental music, and progressive rock band. Former Madison mayors Dave Cieslewicz and Sue Baumann both proclaimed February 1 as "Gomer Day" in Madison. Their name was taken from Gomer Pyle. Career In April 2006, ''List of Wisconsin magazines#Madison, Maximum Ink'' noted the "longevity, durability, or diversity" of the band, and the mayoral Gomer Day Proclamation. ''List of Wisconsin magazines#Madison, Madison Magazine'' did a film feature in 2006 of karaoke in Madison, and documented the Gomers' 'Gomeroke' live karaoke show. The group got its start playing weekly at Madison's popular but ill-fated Club De Wash, formerly located in the Hotel Washington (Madison, Wisconsin), and currently plays eight times or more monthly with its live band karaoke show, 'Gomeroke', at the High Noon Saloon. Zombie Apocalypse
Zombie apocalypse is a genre of fiction in which society collapses due to overwhelming swarms of zombies. Typically only a few individuals or small bands of survivors are left living. In some versions, the reason the dead rise and attack humans is unknown, in others, a parasite or infection is the cause, framing events much like a plague. Some stories have every corpse rise, regardless of the cause of death, whereas others require exposure to the infection. The genre originated in the 1968 American horror film ''Night of the Living Dead'', which was directed by George A. Romero, who took inspiration from the 1954 novel '' I Am Legend'' by Richard Matheson. The Zombies are an English rock band formed in the early 1960s in St Albans and led by keyboardist and vocalist Rod Argent and vocalist Colin Blunstone. The group had a British and American hit in 1964 with "She's Not There". In the US, two further singles—"Tell Her No" in 1965 and "Time of the Season" in 1968—were also successful. The Rutles
The Rutles () were a rock band that performed visual and aural pastiches and parodies of the Beatles. This originally fictional band, created by Eric Idle and Neil Innes for a sketch in Idle's mid-1970s BBC television comedy series ''Rutland Weekend Television'', later toured and recorded, releasing two albums that included two UK chart hits. The band toured again from 2002 until Innes' death in 2019. Yoko Ono
Yoko Ono ( ; ja, 小野 洋子, Ono Yōko, usually spelled in katakana ; born February 18, 1933) is a Japanese multimedia artist, singer, songwriter, and peace activist.
