Louis Zocchi
Louis Zocchi is a gaming hobbyist, former game distributor and publisher, and maker and seller of polyhedral game dice. In 1986, he was elected to the Charles Roberts Awards Hall of Fame. Career Lou Zocchi was one of the first editors for Avalon Hill's magazine, '' The General'', and a regular contributor during its first 11 years of publication. He also playtested such early wargames as '' Bismark'', '' Afrika Korps'', ''Jutland'', ''Stalingrad'', and a number of titles Avalon Hill did not publish. Zocchi was the first U.S. distributor to sell nothing but adventure games. As a board wargame designer, his credits include ''Luftwaffe'', ''The Battle of Britain'', '' Alien Space'', and ''Flying Tigers'', as well as the 3-, 5-, 14-, 24-, and 100-sided die. Giuseppe Zocchi
Giuseppe Zocchi (; –1767) was an Italian painter and printmaker active in Florence and best known for his vedute of the city. Biography Born into a poor family, Zocchi began his training in his native Florence. The Marchese Andrea Gerini became his patron when he was very young, patronizing his further studies in Venice, Milan, Bologna, and Rome. The Marchese Andrea Gerini commissioned Zocchi to record all the famous Florentine landmarks, which he did in a series of drawings, now in New York's Pierpont Morgan Library. A number of engravers based their etchings on Zocchi's drawings into engravings, which were issued in two series in 1744. One series consists of 25 vedute under the title ''Scelta XXIV vedute delle principali contrade, piazze, chiese, e palazzi della citta di Firenze''; the other series consists of 50 vedute under the title ''Vedute delle ville e di altri luoghi della Toscana''. Arnaldo Zocchi (20 September 1862 – 17 July 1940) was a noted Italian sculptor of the late 19th and early 20th century. He was born in Florence and died in Rome. Emilio Zocchi
Emilio Zocchi (March 5, 1835 – January 10, 1913) was an Italian sculptor. He is best known for his busts, bas-reliefs and statuettes of classical and Renaissance individuals. Zocchi was born in Florence to parents of limited means. He studied with Girolamo Torrini, then with Aristodemo Costoli and subsequently with Giovanni Dupré at the Florentine Academy of Fine Arts. One of his first works was a ''Michelangelo as a young boy''. His ''Young Bacchus'' won an award at the Vienna Exposition of 1873. He completed the bas-relief of ''Constantine's vision of the Cross'' at the entrance to the church of Santa Croce, Florence.
