Ziçisht
Ziçisht is a settlement in the Korçë County, southeastern Albania. It is part of the former municipality Miras. At the 2015 local government reform it became part of the municipality Devoll. It has a population of about 300. Many of its people emigrated to Greece or the United States because of the harsh living conditions. Bishop Eulogios (Kourilas) Of Korçë
Eulogios Kourilas Lauriotes ( gr, Ευλόγιος Κουρίλας Λαυριώτης, sq, Evlogji Kurila) (1880–1961) was a bishop of the Orthodox Autocephalous Church of Albania. He was the Orthodox metropolitan bishop of Korçë (Korytsa) in Albania between 1937 and 1939, and a professor of philosophy and author on religious matters. He later became one of the leaders of the Northern Epirus movement, propagating that Greece should annex southern Albania. Constantin Anastas Chekrezi
Costa Chekrezi (31 March 1892 – 10 January 1959), also known as Constantin Anastas Chekrezi ( sq, Kostandin Çekrezi) was an Albanian patriot, historian, and publicist. Biography Chekrezi was born on 31 March 1892 in Ziçisht village, in the Upper Devoll region located near Korça (back then Ottoman Empire, now Albania). After finishing a 5-year school in his native village, he finished the Greek high school in the town of Korça on June 12, 1910. The school documents show he was awarded as "excellent student in all subjects", and earned a scholarship from the Ottoman government to attend (where he stayed for a year only till 1912) the law school in Thessaloniki, now Greece. The studies were interrupted by the start of the First World War. After the Albanian Declaration of Independence until 1914 Chekrezi lived in Vlorë where he worked as a secretary in the Civil Court of the town, later as an interpreter for the International Control Commission assigned near Ismail Qemali' ...

Petraq Zoto
Petraq Zoto (December 20, 1937 – September 6, 2015) was an Albanians, Albanian writer. He is mostly known for his collection of stories, and books targeting children and young readers. Life Petraq Zoto was born in Ziçisht, in Devoll region, in southeastern Albania. He started writing prose at an early age, according to Zoto himself "he didn't even remember exactly when". At one of the literary meetings organized in his area, he met with the Albanian writer Sterjo Spasse. Spasse's words "Lexo sa më shumë, dhe provo të shkruash!" (Read as much as you can, and try writing!) had a significant impact on him, increased his curiosity, and forged his will of becoming a writer. Zoto writing on the impressions of his encounter with Spasse was sent to the newspaper ''Zëri i Rinisë'' (Voice of Youth), but wasn't published. Nevertheless, he continued writing short stories. Devoll (; sq-definite, Devolli) is a municipality in Korçë County, southeastern Albania. The municipality consists of the administrative units of Hoçisht, Miras, Progër and Qendër Bilisht with Bilisht constituting its seat. As of the Institute of Statistics estimate from the 2011 census, there were 26.716 in Devoll Municipality. It derives its name from the Devoll River flowing through the valley. The border point Kapshticë/Krystallopigi connects Devoll with the Greek regional units of Florina and Kastoria to the east and southeast.
