Ziyuan (book)
The ''Ziyuan'' (; or "Essays on Chinese Characters") was a Chinese dictionary attributed to the Eastern Jin Dynasty scholar Ge Hong. The original text was lost, and the small modern ''Ziyuan'' recension has 34 headwords, mostly Chinese Buddhist loanword terminology. The ''Ziyuan'' is notable for having the first occurrence of the Chinese borrowing ''ta'' ( 塔; ''tǎ''; ''t'a''; "tower; pagoda A pagoda is an Asian tiered tower with multiple eaves common to Nepal, India, China, Japan, Korea, Myanmar, Vietnam, and other parts of Asia. Ziyuan (satellite)
Ziyuan () is a series of remote sensing satellites operated by the People's Republic of China. Several Ziyuan satellites are operated jointly with Brazil's National Institute for Space Research under the China–Brazil Earth Resources Satellite program. Ziyuan satellites are based on the Phoenix-Eye-1 or Phoenix-Eye-2 satellite buses - the Phoenix-Eye-1 is used for CBERS missions while the Phoenix-Eye-2 is used for the remaining satellites. The Ziyuan-II series satellites are operated by the Chinese military.
