Zirakpur
Zirakpur is a satellite town, in Mohali District, Punjab, neighboring Mohali, Chandigarh in India. It is set on the foothills of Shivalik hills. It is part of the tehsil Dera Bassi. It is the gateway to Chandigarh from Delhi. It comprises mainly the following areas near Chandigarh Airport including VIP Road, Dhakoli, Lohgarh, Bhabat, Bishanpura, Kishanpura, Nabha, Gazipur, Baltana, Singhpura, Peer Muchalla and Dyalpura. Bishanpura
Bishanpura is a village in the notified area of Zirakpur in Mohali district, Punjab, India. There was a proposal in 1999 that the village, along with those of Lohgarh, Himatgarh, Bishangarh, Baltana, Zirakpur, Dhakoli and Nabha Sahib, would be formed into a Nagar panchayat. An area of the village became the dumping ground for waste from the rapidly expanding Zirakpur until the state government order local authorities to desist, which then led to claims in 2010 that Zirakpur had turned into an eyesore and was at risk of an epidemic. Rapid increases in prices for real estate in the area caused the state government to increase the property registration rates by up to 233% in April 2011. Dhakoli
Dhakoli is a town in the municipality of Zirakpur, Mohali District, Punjab, India (also old village Dhakuli). It was incorporated in the municipality in 1999. Dhakoli has been an ever developing area with residential and commercial projects springing up every now and then. Himalayan Expressway
The Himalayan Expressway is a 27.5 km stretch of highway in India that runs through the Shivaliks at the trijunction of Haryana, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh. It is part of the Chandigarh–Shimla Expressway which connects Zirakpur in Punjab to Parwanoo in Himachal Pradesh. The stretch runs through 2 km in Zirakpur, Punjab, 21 km in Panchkula, Haryana, and 4.5 km in Parwanoo, Himachal Pradesh. It was constructed by Jaypee Group. National Highway 7 (India)
National Highway 7 (NH 7) is a highway connecting Fazilka (Punjab) to Mana (Uttarakhand) in India. It passes through the Indian states of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. Vishwakarma
Vishvakarma or Vishvakarman ( sa, विश्वकर्मा, Viśvakarmā, all maker) is a craftsman deity and the divine architect of the devas in contemporary Hinduism. In the early texts, the craftsman deity was known as Tvastar and the word "Vishvakarma" was originally used as an epithet for any powerful deity. However, in many later traditions, Vishvakarma became the name of the craftsman god. Vishvakarma crafted all of the chariots of the devas and weapons including the ''Vajra'' of the god Indra. Vishvakarma was related to the sun god Surya through his daughter Samjna.
