Andy Zipf (pronounced ZIFF) is a singer/songwriter from Indianapolis, Indiana, currently living in Jacksonville, Florida. He has shared the stage with artists like Joshua Radin, Delta Spirit, Evan Dando, Jeremy Enigk, David Bazan, The Lone Bellow , Old Sea Brigade and Bill Mallonee, Bill Mallonnee. History Zipf was among the first to call for a shift away from traditional music marketing business models, giving away much of his music for free. Before Kickstarter became mainstream, in 2005 Zipf funded his first tour solely off the $2 donations of his fans. In 2006, he and manager Shawn Matthews raised more than $45,000 from his fans to produce ''The Long Tail'' EP. George Kingsley Zipf
George Kingsley Zipf (; January 7, 1902 – September 25, 1950), was an American linguist and philologist who studied statistical occurrences in different languages.. Zipf earned his bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees from Harvard University, although he also studied at the University of Bonn and the University of Berlin. He was Chairman of the German Department and University Lecturer (meaning he could teach any subject he chose) at Harvard University. He worked with Chinese and demographics, and much of his effort can explain properties of the Internet, distribution of income within nations, and many other collections of data. Christoph Zipf
Christoph Zipf (born 5 December 1962) is a former professional tennis player from Germany. Biography A Munich-based right-hander, Zipf was the European Under 18s singles and doubles champion in 1979. He was also a member of the West German team which won the 1981 Galea Cup. During his professional career he was unable to qualify for the main draw at a Grand Slam tournament, but made two finals on the Grand Prix circuit. He partnered with countryman Hans-Dieter Beutel to finish runner-up at Cologne in 1982. The following year, Zipf reached the singles finals of the 1983 Tel Aviv Open, as an unseeded player. He lost in the final to American Aaron Krickstein. Zipf represented the West Germany Davis Cup team in three ties, all doubles matches. He helped the West Germans win a World Group Relegation Play-off in the 1981 Davis Cup tournament, over Brazil in São Paulo.
