Power100 (callsign 4RGR) is a commercial Australian station based in Townsville, Queensland, owned by ARN. History Power100 was established as Sea FM in 1999 by RG Capital, headed by Reg Grundy. In 2003, the station was sold alongside sister station Mix FM (now Star 106.3) to Macquarie Southern Cross Media, owners of rivals 4TO FM and Hot FM. However, Macquarie was forced to sell two stations to ensure diversity in the market, and in 2005 Mix FM and Sea FM were sold to Prime Media Group. In 2013, Prime Media Group sold its radio division to Grant Broadcasters. In 2016, the station rebranded from Zinc 100.7 to Power100. In November 2021, Power100, along with other stations owned by Grant Broadcasters, were acquired by the Australian Radio Network ARN is a group of commercial radio stations around Australia. ARN is a group of commercial radio stations around Australia. It includes the Pure Gold, KIIS Network, CADA, ARN Regional and iHeartRadio brands. The company operates the ARN News service in Australia, which uses international correspondents and source news stories from AAP in Australia, CNN from the United States and Sky News and IRN from the United Kingdom. RG Capital Radio in the radio industry was an Australian radio company, formed in 1995 by Reg Grundy with the acquisition of 90.9 Sea FM. Between 1996 and 2000, the group grew to 28 stations across regional centres, and was subsequently floated on the Australian Securities Exchange, before its assets were sold to Macquarie Regional RadioWorks in 2004, and the network disbanded. Grant Broadcasters
Grant Broadcasters is an Australian regional radio network. Founded in 1942, by 2019 it owned 53 radio stations. In 2022 it sold 46 to Here, There & Everywhere retaining shareholdings in seven in Canberra, Geelong, Goulburn and Perth. History Grant Broadcasters was founded by Walter Grant in 1942 when he bought 2DU in Dubbo. In 1972 a shareholding in 2ST in Nowra was purchased followed in 1979 by 2PK in Parkes and in 1982 2MG in Mudgee. In 1986 2DU, 2PK and 2MG were sold with full ownership taken of 2ST. Over the next three decades, the company expanded through acquisition, purchasing radio stations in all states and territories of Australia, owning 53 stations by November 2021. In November 2021, Grant Broadcasters agreed terms to sell 46 stations to Here, There & Everywhere (HTE).
