Zimbabwean Cricket Team In Pakistan In 1998–99
The Zimbabwe national cricket team toured Pakistan from November to December 1998 and played a three-match Test series against the Pakistan national cricket team. Zimbabwe won the opening Test by 7 wickets, their first overseas victory, and went on to win the series 1–0. Zimbabwe were captained by Alistair Campbell and Pakistan by Aamer Sohail. In addition, the teams played a three-match Limited Overs International (LOI) series which Pakistan won 2–1. Zimbabwe National Cricket Team
The Zimbabwe national cricket team, also known as the Chevrons, represents Zimbabwe in men's international cricket and is overseen by Zimbabwe Cricket (formerly known as the Zimbabwe Cricket Union). Zimbabwe has been a Full Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) since 1992. Sheikhupura
Sheikhupura ( pa, ; ur, ) also known as Qila Sheikhupura, is a city in the Pakistani province of Punjab, Pakistan, Punjab. Founded by the Mughal Empire, Mughal Emperor Jahangir, Jehangir in 1607, Sheikhupura is the List of most populous cities in Pakistan, 16th largest city of Pakistan by population and is the headquarters of Sheikhupura District. Not Out
In cricket, a batter is not out if they come out to bat in an innings and have not been dismissed by the end of an innings. The batter is also ''not out'' while their innings is still in progress. Occurrence At least one batter is not out at the end of every innings, because once ten batters are out, the eleventh has no partner to bat on with so the innings ends. Usually two batters finish not out if the batting side declares in first-class cricket, and often at the end of the scheduled number of overs in limited overs cricket. Batters further down the batting order than the not out batters do not come out to the crease at all and are noted as ''did not bat'' rather than ''not out''; by contrast, a batter who comes to the crease but faces no balls is ''not out''. Murray Goodwin
Murray William Goodwin (born 11 December 1972) is a former Zimbabwean cricketer who played 19 Tests and 71 One Day Internationals. He was a right-handed top-order batsman, strong on the back foot, and a good cutter and puller of the ball. International career Born in Rhodesia, Goodwin attended St. John's College (Harare) before his family moved to Perth when he was a 13-year old. He moved back to Zimbabwe in the 1990s, and represented the country between 1998 and 2000. His wife had trouble settling in Zimbabwe, and so, after the Zimbabwe tour of England in 2000, they moved back to Australia. Murray Goodwin now resides in southwest Western Australia with his family. Goodwin and Grant Flower set the record for the highest 5th wicket partnership for Zimbabwe in ODI cricket (186*). Henry Olonga
Henry Khaaba Olonga (born 3 July 1976) is a Zimbabwean former cricketer, who played Test cricket, Test and One Day International (ODI) cricket for Zimbabwe national cricket team, Zimbabwe. In domestic first-class cricket in Zimbabwe, Olonga played for Matabeleland cricket team, Matabeleland, Mashonaland cricket team, Mashonaland and Manicaland cricket team, Manicaland. Riazuddin (umpire)
Riazuddin (15 December 1958 – 11 June 2019) was a Pakistani umpire (cricket), cricket umpire. He officiated in 12 Test cricket, Test matches between 1990 and 2002 and 12 One Day Internationals (ODIs) between 1990 and 2000. He also was one of the on-field umpires in the final of the 2010–11 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. Riazuddin officiated in 310 first-class cricket, first-class matches, a Pakistan record. Javed Akhtar (cricketer)
Javed Akhtar (21 November 1940 – 8 July 2016) was a Pakistani cricketer who played in one Test in 1962. An off spinner, he had success at first-class level, taking his wickets at an average of 18.17, but struggled in his only Test, failing to take a wicket. Rawalpindi ( or ; Urdu, ) is a city in the Punjab province of Pakistan. Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium is a cricket stadium located in DKS Rawalpindi in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is near to Pir Meher Ali Shah University, Rawalpindi, and Rawalpindi Arts Council, Rawalpindi. Andy Flower
Andrew Flower (born 28 April 1968) is a Zimbabwean cricket coach and a former cricketer. As a cricketer, he captained the Zimbabwe national cricket team. He was Zimbabwe's wicket-keeper for more than 10 years and is, statistically, the greatest batsman the country has produced. During his peak from October to December 2001, Flower was ranked as the best Test batsman in the world. He was widely acknowledged as the only Zimbabwe batsman of proper test quality in any conditions. After retirement, he served as the coach of the English cricket team from 2009 to 2014.
