David Kwaku Ziga
David Kwaku Ziga was a Ghanaian politician and potter. He was a member for parliament for the Afadzato constituency from 1965 to 1966, he was also the managing proprietor of Ziga Pottery and Ceramic Works. Early life and education Ziga was born on 20 April 1922 at Have Etoe in the Afadzato South District, Volta Region. He had his early education at Agate E. P. Primary School and the E. P. Middle School in Kpando. He later proceeded to Achimota College to study Arts and Craft from 1940 to 1944. In 1952 he won a government scholarship to study a two (2)- year pottery and ceramics programme at the North Staffordshire Technical College (now Staffordshire University). Career and politics Ziga was seconded to the Local Authority Middle School in Akwatia where he established a pottery and ceramic unit between 1946 and July 1948. Patricia Foufoué Ziga (born 8 March 1972) is a retired Côte d'Ivoire sprinter who specialized in the 100 metres. She competed in the 100 metres of the 1992 Olympics, but did not advance beyond the heats. She finished sixth in the 60 metres at the 1993 World Indoor Championships. She had competed at the 1991 edition, but did not reach the final then. Tecla San Andres Ziga (1906–1992) was a female senator in the Philippines notable for being the first woman in the country to top the bar examination for law-degree graduates. Biography Early years She was born 23 August 1906, in Nueva Caceres (now Naga, Camarines Sur). Education San Andres Ziga obtained her elementary education from the Santa Isabel College. She gained her high school education from the Catholic Central School. In 1930, she obtained her degrees in Liberal Arts and in Law from the University of the Philippines. Victor Ziga
Victor "Vic" San Andres Ziga (September 30, 1945 – January 31, 2021) was a Filipino politician who served as senator in the 8th Congress. He was an assemblyman for Albay in the Regular Batasang Pambansa prior to getting elected as senator. He also served as Governor of Albay and cabinet minister in the Corazon Aquino administration. Early life and career Ziga was born on 30 September 1945 in Manila to parents Venancio Prieto Ziga, former governor and congressman of Albay, and Tecla San Andres Ziga, a former Senator and who was the first woman who topped number 1 in the Bar Examination in the Philippines.
