Zielona Góra Airport () is a regional airport in the Zielona Góra urban area (the Lubusian Tri-city) in western Poland. The airport is from Sulechów, northeast of the Zielona Góra city centre, in the village of Kramsko, near the town of Babimost, west of Poznań, east of the German border, and from Berlin. Its catchment area consists of the three million inhabitants of Lubusz Land (Ziemia Lubuska) and the west of Greater Poland (Wielkopolska). The airport is Poland's 14th-busiest, in last place among current airports with scheduled traffic. It has been taken over from the Polish Army by regional authorities and is run by the state-owned Porty Lotnicze (PPL), which also operates Warsaw Chopin Airport. Zielona Góra is the largest city in Lubusz Voivodeship, located in western Poland, with 140,403 inhabitants (2021). Zielona Góra has a favourable geographical position, being close to the Polish-German border and on several international road and rail routes connecting Scandinavia with Southern Europe and Warsaw with Berlin. The region is closely associated with vineyards and holds an annual Wine Fest. Expressway S3 or express road S3 (in Polish ''droga ekspresowa S3'') is a major road under development in Poland, which is planned to run from Świnoujście on the Baltic Sea through Szczecin, Gorzów Wielkopolski, Zielona Góra and Legnica, to the border with the Czech Republic, where it will connect to the planned D11 motorway. The total intended length is , of which is open to traffic and is under construction (as of November 2021). The main section from Szczecin ( A6) through Jordanowo ( A2) to Legnica ( A4) was constructed mainly in years 2008 – 2021, and is completed on the whole intended length. A2 Autostrada (Poland)
The autostrada A2 in Poland, officially named Autostrada Wolności (''Motorway of Freedom''), is a motorway which runs from interchange Świecko with national road 29 near the Polish-German border in Świecko/Frankfurt an der Oder (connecting to A12 autobahn), through Poznań and Łódź to Warsaw and, in the future, to the Polish-Belarusian border in Terespol/Brest (connecting to M1 highway). The motorway is a part of the European route E30 connecting Berlin and Moscow. The motorway between German border and Warsaw () was constructed between 2001 and 2012 (the first fragment totalling was originally built between 1977 and 1988 and renovated to modern standards during the construction of the remaining sections), and is now complete. Poznań–Ławica Henryk Wieniawski Airport , built in 1913, is one of the oldest airports in Poland. It is located west of Poznań city centre. It takes its name from the neighborhood of Ławica, part of the city's Poznań–Grunwald, Grunwald district, while the airport actually lies in the Poznań–Jeżyce, Jeżyce district. In aviation, the instrument landing system (ILS) is a precision radio navigation system that provides short-range guidance to aircraft to allow them to approach a runway at night or in bad weather. In its original form, it allows an aircraft to approach until it is over the ground, within a of the runway.
