Zidane Mebarakou
Zidane Mebarakou ( ar, زيدان مباراكو; Tamazight: ⵣⵉⴷⴰⵏ ⵎⴻⴱⴰⵔⴰⴽⵓ; born 3 January 1989) is an Algerian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Olympique Akbou. Personal life Mebarakou is from Barbacha, 40 km south of the city of Béjaïa in Kabylia. Career He made his professional debut with local club JSM Béjaïa. He moved to MO Béjaïa in summer 2014. At his new club, he won the Algerian Cup, scoring in the semi-final against ES Sétif. At the end of his first year at the club, he was voted player of the season in an online survey. In 2016, he joined MC Alger alongside teammate Zahir Zerdab on a two-year deal. After 2 years and a half in the Algerian capital, he joined Saudi Pro League side Al-Wehda in January 2019. Barbacha
Barbacha is a small region containing 34 separate villages in northern Algeria in the region of Kabylie. The population is mainly composed of indigenous Amazigh people from the Kabyle tribe. History Following the 2001 Black Spring in Algeria, residents in the area began to become increasingly hostile towards the government and police. Often engaging in arson attacks against local courts, government offices, political party offices, welfare centres and police stations under the slogan 'You can't kill us, we are already dead!' alongside road blockades and strikes. The police, gendarmerie and military were expelled from the region and Barbacha has since seen very little crime. Inter-Régions Division
Inter-Régions Division (also known as ''Ligue Inter-Régions de football'') is the third-highest division overall in the Algerian football league system. The division has six groups based on the region of the country, which are East, West and Centre-East, Centre-West, South-east and South-west each containing 16 teams from their respective regions. 2023–24 Algerian Ligue 2
The 2023–24 Algerian Ligue 2 is the 60th season of the Algerian Ligue 2 since its establishment. The competition is organized by the Ligue Nationale du Football Amateur and consists of two groups of 16. It began on 29 September 2023 and will conclude on 1 June 2024. Teams RC Arbaâ and HB Chelghoum Laïd were relegated from Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1. ESM Koléa, JS Guir, MSP Batna, Olympique Akbou, Olympique de Magrane and WA Mostaganem were promoted from the Inter-Régions Division.
