Zhmerynka ( uk, Жмеринка ) is a city in Vinnytsia Oblast (Oblast, province) of central Ukraine. Serving as the Capital city, administrative center of the Zhmerynka Raion (Raion, district), the town itself is not a part of the district and is separately incorporated as a City of regional significance (Ukraine), city of oblast significance. City of regional significance ( uk, місто обласного значення, ''misto oblasnoho znachennia'') in Ukraine was a type of second-level administrative division or municipality, the other type being raions (districts). In the first-level division of oblasts, they were referred to as ''cities of oblast significance''; in the first-level autonomous republic of Crimea, they were ''cities of republican significance''. Bar ( uk, Бар; pl, Bar; russian: Бар) is a town located on the Riv River in the Vinnytsia Oblast (province) of central Ukraine. It is the administrative center of the Bar Raion (district), and is part of the historic region of Podolia. Skarżysko-Kamienna is a city in northern Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship in south-central Poland by Kamienna river, to the north of Świętokrzyskie Mountains; one of the voivodship's major cities. Valeriy Brezdenyuk ( uk, Валерій Олександрович Брезденюк; June 17, 1963 – February 18, 2014) was a Ukrainian painter from Zhmerynka, Vinnytska Oblast, practicing paper marbling. He was killed in action during Euromaidan. Brezdenyuk was an entrepreneur and owner of an internet cafe in the center of Zhmerynka. He was a painter practicing paper marbling Turkish ebru style. In 2013, Brezdenyuk was a finalist on " Ukraine's Got Talent" after winning his hometown's "Zhmerynka's got talent" contest. He died on February 18, 2014, in Kyiv during the Euromaidan clashes with the police. He was shot in the back.
