Zhanna Leonidovna Agalakova (russian: Жа́нна Леони́довна Агала́кова; born 6 December 1965, Kirov) is a Russian journalist, special correspondent, and television news presenter. In 2002 she was nominated for the TEFI Award and in 2006 was awarded the Medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland". Career In 1992 Agalakova became the RIA Novosti news agency's gossip correspondent. From 1996 she broadcast on the NTV (Russia) channel. Zhanna Vladimirovna Bichevskaya ( en, Jeanne Bichevskaya; russian: Жанна Владимировна Бичевская; born June 17, 1944) is a prominent Russian singer and folk musician. She was born in Moscow. In 1971 she graduated from the Moscow Circus and Performing Arts School. She was a teacher of music in Zagorsk (Sergiev Posad). In the 1970s, Zhanna started to perform Russian folk songs and romances. At that time she was influenced by Bulat Okudzhava, and she gained popularity in Russia and abroad with some critics dubbing her the Russian Joan Baez. Her unique style of music is described as Russian country-folk. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Zhanna Bichevskaya's songs began to have more political, nationalist and spiritual themes. She performed a series of White Guard officer's songs, as well as a series of patriotic, monarchist and religious songs, some times songs dedicated to the Romanov Holy Martyrs. Jeanna Vladimirovna Friske (russian: link=no, Жанна Владимировна Фриске; born Jeanna Vladimirovna Kopylova; 8 July 1974 – 15 June 2015), better known by the stage name Zhanna Friske, was a Russian actress, singer and model. She was a member of the girl group Blestyashchiye. Family Her father Vladimir Kopylov (later known as Vladimir Friske) is of German descent; his mother Paulina Friske was born to a Black Sea German family in the Odessa Oblast in the then Soviet Union. She graduated from secondary school No. 406, Perovo District, Moscow, in 1991. She studied journalism at Moscow University, but abandoned it. Zhanna Pintusevich-Block ( uk, Жанна Пінтусевич-Блок; Tarnopolskaya; born 6 July 1972) is a Ukrainian former world champion sprinter who competed in the Olympic Games. Early life Zhanna Pintusevich-Block comes from a Jewish family. She was born in Nizhyn, Soviet Union and raised by her mother after her father left when she was three. They lived in a one-room house with no running water and used a coal stove for heat. . Track career In 1991, Block won the 100 metres and 200 metres at the European Junior Championships, along with a silver in the 4 x 400 metres relay while representing the USSR. In 1992, Block won the European Indoor Championships for 60m and in 1993 won the bronze medal in the same even at the World Championships in Toronto. She was 1997 World 200m Champion and 2001 World 100m champion. She also won 2 World silvers and 3 European silvers in the sprints.
