Zhang Yue (Tang Dynasty)
Zhang Yue () (663–730), courtesy name Daoji (道濟) or Yuezhi (說之), formally Duke Wenzhen of Yan (燕文貞公), was a Chinese historian, military general, poet, and politician. He served as an official under Wu Zetian's Zhou dynasty, a chancellor with three separate stints during the reigns of Emperor Ruizong and under Emperor Xuanzong. He was known for having suggested the transition of Tang central government armed forces from being conscription-based to recruitment-based, and for turning the office of the chancellor into a specialized post with strong executive powers. Zhang Yue was a well-respected literary figure of his time, and was ranked alongside Su Ting (Duke Wenxian of Xu, another of Emperor Xuanzong's chancellors) as the two great writers of the Kaiyuan era. Zhang Yue (; born June 1961) is a former Chinese politician, and Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission of Hebei. A police officer by training, Zhang had a lengthy career rising through the ranks in China's policing system. He was dismissed from his position in April 2016 and undergoing investigation by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection. Career Zhang Yue was born in Guangrao County, Shandong and joined the Chinese Communist Party in 1984. He graduated from the Beijing Public Security College () and Central Party School of the Chinese Communist Party. Zhang Yue (; born November 1958) is a Chinese materials scientist currently serving as a professor and vice-president of the University of Science and Technology Beijing. Education Zhang was born in Changsha, Hunan in November 1958, while his ancestral home in Liling, Zhuzhou. Zhang Yue (; born January 27, 1993 in Qiqihar, Heilongjiang) is a Chinese pair skater. With former partner Wang Lei, she is the 2011 Winter Universiade bronze medalist and a two-time ISU Junior Grand Prix Final medalist, having won silver in 2008 and bronze in 2009. Career Zhang teamed up with Wang Lei in 2006. In the 2007–08 season, the pair won two bronze medals on the Junior Grand Prix (JGP) circuit and qualified to their first JGP Final. They made their senior Grand Prix debut at the 2007 Cup of China before placing 8th at the JGP Final in Gdańsk, Poland.
