Zero Range Combat ( ja, ゼロレンジコンバット, Zerorenjikonbatto, also referred to as 零距離戦闘術, Rei kyori sentō-jutsu, which translates to ''Zero Range Combat'') is a Japanese martial art inspired by military combatives. The founder is Yoshitaka Inagawa, who is publicly referred to as "sentō-sha" (戦闘者, eng. ''battler'' or ''combatant''), and "master instructor" (マスターインストラクター masutāinsutorakutā) to his martial arts peers. The name "sentō-sha" is different from "martial arts" and/or "fighter" in that it means a person who is particular about military "battle", referring closer to something akin to "military artsman" (兵法者, Heihōsha). Kobudō
is a collective term for Japanese traditional techniques for the use of armour, blades, firearms, and techniques related to combat and horse riding. Arnis, also known as Kali or Eskrima/Escrima, is the national martial art of the Philippines. The three are roughly interchangeable umbrella terms for the traditional martial arts of the Philippines ("Filipino Martial Arts", or FMA), which emphasize martial arts weapons, weapon-based fighting with stick fighting, sticks, knife fighting, knives, bladed weapons, and various improvised weapons, as well as "open hand" techniques without weapons. Jieitaikakutōjutsu ( ja, 自衛隊格闘術, Self-Defense Forces Martial Arts) is a military self-defence and fighting system developed for JSDF personnel. The system primarily consists of hand-to-hand combat, bayonet and knife fighting principles. Jieitaikakutōjutsu is primarily used by the Ground Self-Defense Force, although the Maritime Self-Defense Forces and the Air Self-Defense Forces have units that are incorporated it in their combat training. The JSDF holds inter-branch fighting competition named Kai tōkai, to test Ground and Maritime Forces' fighting skills.
