Zeno Of Verona
Zeno of Verona ( it, Zenone da Verona; about 300 – 371 or 380) was either an early Christian Bishop of Verona or a martyr. He is a saint in the Roman Catholic Church and in the Orthodox Church. Life and historicity According to a Veronese author named Coronato, a notary of the 7th century, Zeno was a native of Mauretania. He taught many children of Africa about the Catholic religion and he also helped them with their school work. The children could rely on someone who could help them. Another theory is that Zeno was a follower of Athanasius, patriarch of Alexandria, who accompanied his master when the latter visited Verona in 340. The style of the 90 or so ''Sermones'' attributed to Zeno has also been considered evidence of his African origins due to its literary style, since Christian African writers of the time frequently used neologisms and wordplay. Zenone Benini
Zenone Benini (Campiglia Marittima, 19 October 1902 – Florence, 10 September 1976) was an Italian industrialist and Fascist politician who served as the last minister of public works of the Mussolini Cabinet. Biography Benini was born into a rich family of the Florentine bourgeoisie which owned a villa in the countryside, a straw hat factory and a metallurgical factory, the Pignone, located in Florence. He spent his early years in Florence but attended high school in Livorno, where he met Galeazzo Ciano, with whom he developed a lifelong friendship. During the First World War the family business increased its profits (the Pignone also produced armaments) and Benini became acquainted with war hero Costanzo Ciano, the father of his new friend. After the war he joined the National Fascist Party and during the Fascist period he became vice president of the Italian Corporation for the Iron and Steel Industry and president of the Union of Florentine Industrialists, while also tak ... Zenone Veronese (Zeno da Verona) (1484 – 1542) was an Italian painter of the Renaissance period. He is different but a near-contemporary of Michele da Verona (1470 -1536/1544). Biography He was born in Verona, and died as late as 1552-54 by some accounts. He worked in Sala in the Ticino on Lago di Garda, in Rimini (1521), and possibly in Rome. He was influenced by Giovanni Francesco Caroto and Girolamo dai Libri, later by Palma Vecchio, il Romanino, and Giovanni Cariani Giovanni Cariani (c. 1490–1547), also known as Giovanni Busi or Il Cariani, was an Italian painter of the high-Renaissance, active in Venice and the Venetian mainland, including Bergamo, thought to be his native city.
