Frank Zeidler
Frank Paul Zeidler (September 20, 1912 – July 7, 2006) was an American socialist politician and mayor of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, serving three terms from April 20, 1948, to April 18, 1960. Zeidler, a member of the Socialist Party of America, is the last Socialist Party candidate to be elected mayor of a large American city. Early life and career Zeidler was born in Milwaukee on September 20, 1912. He studied at both the University of Chicago and Marquette University, but was never able to graduate due to ill health. He became a socialist because of socialism's emphasis on peace and improving the conditions for workers. Eberhard Heinrich Zeidler, (January 11, 1926 – January 7, 2022) was a German-Canadian architect. He designed iconic structures and landmarks in Canada and internationally, most notably in Toronto. These included the Toronto Eaton Centre, Ontario Place, Toronto Centre for the Arts, as well as redevelopments of the Queen's Quay Terminal and the Gladstone Hotel (Toronto), Gladstone Hotel. His firm also designed Canada Place in Vancouver for Expo 86. Early life Zeidler was born in Braunsdorf, Germany, on January 11, 1926. He served in the Kriegsmarine, German navy during World War II. He was instructed under the influence of the Bauhaus school in Weimar and the Technische Hochschule Karlsruhe. Eberhard Hermann Erich Zeidler (6 October 1940 in Leipzig, Germany – 18 November 2016 ibid) was a German mathematician, who worked primarily in the field of non-linear functional analysis. Life and work After attending the Leipzig Eberhard Zeidler began studying mathematics at the University of Leipzig in 1959. In 1961, he was exmatriculated because of critical statements, and was forced to work as a transport worker and absolve his military service in the East-German's NVA. Carl Zeidler
Carl Frederick Zeidler (January 4, 1908 – December 11, 1942) was an American politician and the mayor of the city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, from 1940 to 1942, winning election by unseating six-term Socialist mayor Dan Hoan. After just two years in office Zeidler resigned his position as mayor to enlist in the United States Navy Reserve to fight in World War II. His merchant marine ship and all hands were lost off the coast of South Africa in December 1942. Alfred Zeidler
Alfred Zeidler (born 22 September 1902) was a German ''Schutzstaffel'' (SS) officer who served Nazi Germany in World War II. From 1942 to 1945, he was '' Lagerkommandant'' of the Grini detention camp in Norway during the German occupation. Although sentenced to lifelong forced labour after the war, Zeidler was released in 1953. Details of his later life are unknown.
